Yes, if justice was swifter (a death penalty offense shouldn’t take more than a year for a jury trial, appeal to the governor and all) then we wouldn’t be calling for a vigilante torture fest. When we are denied reasonable justice, we get unreasonable. Justice is absolutely necessary for a civilized society.

I’d like to see a fair trial with a jury of 12 decent citizens, properly conducted. Then I’d like to see the accused, if found guilty, swiftly killed. They can appeal to the governor if they think they have some grounds for appeal. That’s it.

I suppose you are one of those that gets all worked up when you hear about some child molestor that gets let out with a ankle bracelet, cuts it off and then molests some other kid too. Me too :(
