The advisors are not the problem! I read here on FR a few weeks ago that the designers and consultants create a beautiful outfit and then at the last minute Michelle ruins it by adding her own personal touch. She’ll have a nice dress, for example, and then add this stupid belt, or grab a scarf from her own closet that she thinks enhances the outfit. Hence we see she is often overly cluttered. Instead of the old rule “take off one accessory” to be well-dressed, Michelle is adding more. Next think you know, she’ll have Obama wearing foulard pocket squares.
