just daily politics.

That's the problem...it's all politics.

Unfortunately, radical Islamists do want to destroy Western Civilization, and England is a perfect example.

IMO, Europe has not changed over the past 30 years. During my tour in Germany, I lived "on the economy" for three-plus glorious years. During the 1980 election, my German neighbors pleaded with me to not vote for Reagan, as they were sure he was going to start WWIII.

Thankfully, my German conversational abilities had improved to the point that I was able to gently and persuasively disabuse them of that notion. Shortly after the election, I was invited to sit at the stammtische (a table reserved for family/friends of the family) of my local gasthaus. I cherish that honor to this day.

i totally agree that radical Islamists do want to destroy western civilization... and yes politics is allways the problem. it is rotten from inside. it´s not only england, it´s most parts of europe... for example i live in austria (btw. this is not for you but for other people who might read this.. “not the country with the kangaroos” :-)
you can see it every day on the streets that integration of islam does not work... does any politician care? answer no! they are too busy repeating again and again that there are no problems and all is fine... Do you really expect this people sending our boys and girls to a forreign country to fight islamists if they even don´t care what happens in our own countries? and for your experience that europe hasn´t really changed in the last 30 years. i´m sorry i can make no statement on this because i´m too young. i don´t know how the political situation or the society in Europe was 30 years ago
because i´m “only” 29 years old ;-)
greetings
