Sarah is wrong, period. The election is over. End of story. The Super Bowl cannot be replayed because the referee blew a pass interference call on the last offensive drive of the game.

Even Rush Limbaugh is only right 99% of the time. Sarah is not perfect.

Having said that I still support Sarah 100% but because I do, it doesn’t mean that I put my brain on the backburner.

Back last fall, all you freepers were hatin Uncle Teddy when most Alaskans were sticking up for all he has accomplished and his voting record. So now you all got what you wanted, the dem begich in Steven's seat; but at least old photo-radar Begich told our magic man no way on gun control.

I figure Mark Begich realizes if he rides the middle & fights gun control; most Alaskans will support him the rest of his life, so get ready for 40 more years of Mark Begich in the Senate; since you all sold out on Teddy Boy.

Tell ya what though: If Mark Begich did step down, ask for new election; all Alaska would see him as super high class and repubs & dems alike would send Begich back to Washington for the rest of his life. Heck, I myself would rather vote for high class dem than another average repub, and everybody in my family is registered Republican.

Have you ever stopped to think how many Rat senators just barely got in, or got in due to things like this? Can anybody think of a squeaker Senate election the last decade where the Republican prevailed, or got the office because somebody released kinky divorce records of his opponent?

Markie startd campaining only after the FedGov went intothe field against Ted.

It also helped that the Dems pumped 5.5 MIllion in attack ads aginst TEd.

And the margin of loss was small.

The ‘pork’ Ted brought to Alaska was about 3.5 B over 40 years.

Nothing when compared to giants like Teddy K or John Murfha.

I am glad it’s over, but Ted will always have this stain on his good name, thanks to some corrupt lawyers in DC.

Your kidding with your post right? Stevens would have won in a romp! What happened to him is akin to be publicly accused of being a child molester only to have your accuser say “nevermind” after your reputation and life are ruined.

With your comment about Palin and Alaska you can TAKE A HIKE! I have observed that folks with an attitude like yours are often found on losing teams. We’ll do fine without you.

Exactly. If the Republicans don’t raise a stink and rub it in, who will? That’s all I’m saying.

And it could weaken Begich for the next time around.

Eska, I voted for Stevens. I called it right, when all of this came out I saw it as the democrats and the Anchorage Daily Worker (news)working in conjunction to get Stevens out of there by hook or by crook, and get their man in there, timed to coincide with the election.

Democrats have done far worse, and never gotten so much as a hand slap. I never did believe he did anything wrong, it was a set up by a bunch of demogogues.

I don't understand where you guys are coming from (or Palin for that matter). Perhaps if you're into looking for press double standards, there are plenty of them to be found. But conservatives know all there is to know about the way the press leans, and everyone else is too distracted or stupid to notice. But real question on most voters minds is going to be whether or not Ted Stevens was exonerated. And even if he was, he wasn't entitled to that senate seat. If he lost it, too bad. Even if he did lose it because of obvious political manipulations by the other side, face up to it folks. We'll have to match the tactics of the enemy in order to defeat them. The time for appealing to "fair play" is long gone. It's Chicago rules now and for the forseeable future.

When our country is under a full scale assault by the very people we elected to defend it, the last thing that conservatives should be up in arms about is whether Ted Stevens of all people should get his old senate seat back and what Barak Obama put on the Ipod that he gave to Queen Elizabeth. If conservatives now fall into the trap of focusing on petty complaints instead of the Democrat agenda, we're playing into the Democrats' hands.

You must not be an Alaskan. If you live here you’d know this was nothing but a hit job. You do realize that Begich is going to vote with the Kenyan and the Communists every chance he gets? Who’s side are you on anyway?

I can’t say that I blame the Republicans for firing this particular shot, because they have absolutely nothing to lose by doing it. However, there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Freshman Democrat Alaska Senator Begich is going to resign, especially over this.

Ted Stevens got a royal screwing, there is no doubt, but until the next election there simply is no remedy available to Alaska voters.

Well dr. it’s just a few FRiends enjoying the irony is all. No one expects anything to happen. The Rats as we all know are about their power, not principle.

Stealing elections any which way is just part of the playbook.

If Begich is a communist, you have more important things to worry about than Ted Steven’s career.

Nothing wrong with her making a statement. I don't think she's going to make this a pressing issue. But it's nice to see a Republican stand up to the Dems.

BTW I agree with you and my initial post was describing her politics in general.

Well, let’s be honest, Begich isn’t going to resign

As long as we're being honest, let's also face the fact that Stevens was actually guilty even though the charges have been dropped.

Alaska appears to be in the running for most corrupt state, but it will never be able to catch up to Illinois, New York, New Jersey, etc. in that category.

Now this is the way to play politics. I don’t want Stevens back though I never thought he did anything to justify the political witchhunt he was subjected to by Democrats but this is “only fair”. :-) It is so tasty when I get to use that in reference to Liberal Democrats.
