We Wish This Were an April Fool's Joke (barf alert)

Rep. Stacey Campfield's guns-on-campuses bill just died in a House subcommittee. No one would second the motion to consider it. OK, that's a setback for the Second Amendment. But don't despair. The subcommittee adopted another fine piece of legislation to bar the government from confiscating our weapons during martial law. It's one of those just-in-case bills, but you can never be too cautious when it comes to your personal arsenal.

The sponsor, House Republican caucus chair Glen Casada, explained martial law might be declared "by the governor, president or somebody like that" usually at a time of "invasion or civil unrest."

"I'm a firm believer that an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure," Casada told the subcommittee. "Obviously, things are bad under martial law, and we'd need our weapons to protect ourselves."

The article was pretty lame, I'll agree. The incoherent ramblings in some of the posted comments were typical liberal anti gun lies though.

Congress picks and chooses parts of the Constitution and whatever laws they “like” to pay attention to. I simply suggest that citizens models themselves after the appropriate behavior to survive.

A people unwilling to use extreme violent force to defend their liberties deserves the tyrant’s that RULE them.

It is now a point of not republican vs democrat! We are now at the point of “We the People” vs the elite ruling fascists, this includes BOTH parties.

You want my firearms?

Come and take them!

We, like the 300 Spartans stand at the Hot Gates of history. Do we rise to the challange as they did to defend freedom or.........do we go silently in to this long dark night of enslavement?

And a third will fight, a third will follow, and a third will just get in the way.
