Immediate past president Bush’s Global War on Terror (no longer recognized as such by the Obama Administration) included the concept that we won’t (really can’t) negotiate with the bloodthirsty zealots who perpetrated the 9/11 atrocities and ceremoniously sliced off American heads. Given the nature of our enemies, Bush’s approach seemed, well, elementary.
But then the smartest man to ever be President said he would have no preconditions to talks with our enemies. And his minion nee rival Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said yesterday that Taliban members who abandoned extremism (yeah, right) must be granted an “honorable form of reconciliation.”
The Taliban responded this was a “lunatic idea.”
“This matter was also raised in the past,” said Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, referring to comments last month by Obama, who spoke of reaching out to moderate Taliban.
“They have to go and find the moderate Taliban, their leader and speak to them. This is a lunatic idea,” Mujahid said by telephone from an unknown location.
Spokesman Zab said the only solution is for foreign troops to completely withdraw from Afghanistan. In other words, it’s the Taliban way or the highway.
Well, so much for rational discourse with our enemies. Mr. Obama, shall we go to Plan B? You do have a Plan B, don’t you?

Yep. Nothing like dealing with terrorists. It makes things so much easier, don’t you think?
An armed assault on the White House by Taliban’s who just arrived as refugees and adding a few guys let loose from Gitmo. Complete with rpg’s smuggled across the Mexican border. A few rounds of mustard gas thrown it..it sounds like a script for 24.
I wonder if the WH is ready for a ground assault.

So the Taliban can recognize craziness. Now they just need to look inward.
Patience my friend, Obama and Hillary have to be relentless and keep asking pretty please over and over in a manner that overwhelms them in a shock-n-awe type situation. They'll soon fold.
This liberal (blonde) talk show host person on O’Reilly yesterday made the claim that if we simple call the WOT something else, it will reduce the recruitment of terrorists - stupid is as stupid does.
Herself, the Cold and Joyless, has no standing with the Taliban. They percieve her to be a female of the human species.
And therefore, clearly their inferior.
I’m confused, is that the good or bad kind of crazy? Since intent and outcome are normally inverse in the liberal world, this could be just a little too much for those poor rag heads. They could laugh themselves to death. /sarc?
So Hillary, where are those moderate Taliban? LoL!
That said, there probably are tribal and village leaders we could pry away from the Taliban if we can make them a better offer and give them security. But it has to be done quietly and competently, as Petreus did in Anbar, not the way these damfools are trying to go about it.

Hillary even promised to wear a special designer-pantsuit peach colored burkha while she roams around the Taliban areas asking “take me to your moderate Taliban leaders!”
