I think there should be such a thing as mandatory rehab of any convicted drug abuser. Then that felon would stay in the rehab facility until they are completely drug free and over their addiction for good. This is the only way to help these people because they wont volunteer on their own, theyll just go back and continue doing drugs again over and over again. The same should be done for alcoholics as well.
An illegal Mex patient of my doctor returned to Mexico last month for a stay. He was “approached” by a local gang which told him it wanted his car. He gave them 600 dollars instead. The gang kept 500 and gave 100 to the local sheriff, paying him to ignore any filing by the poor guy. These are the people we are dealing with in Mexico. And we wonder why thugs abound.
Mexico is a corrupt country and the only way the president of that country can succeed is if he tackles both the corruption, improve the overall Mexican economy and get rid of the drug lords in his country all at the same time.

By the same criteria, if there were no drugs to buy in Mexico there wouldn’t be any demand for them and there wouldn’t be any violence or demand for guns to protect drug empires.

NOTE WELL Some of these suckups are wealthy people whining about "persecution", squatting on US soil, intent on draining the US treasury.
