Iran missile experts in North Korea to help with rocket launch
Missile experts from Iran are in North Korea to help Pyongyang prepare for its rocket launch, according to reports.
Amid increasing global concern over the rocket launch, believed by the US and its allies to be an illegal missile launch, Japan's Sankei Shimbun newspaper claimed today a 15-strong delegation from Tehran has been in the country advising the North Koreans since the beginning of March.
The Iranian experts include senior officials with Iranian rocket and satellite producer Shahid Hemmat Industrial Group, the daily said.
The Iranians brought a letter from Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il stressing the importance of cooperating on space technology, it added.

The Lilliputians are all gathered together to launch their little missile. Too bad it's going to suffer an unexpected malfunction shortly after launch.

That Iranian ‘satellite launcher’ did look an awful lot like a Taepodong-2. Just sayin’.

Wasn't that long ago it was the Iranians depending on North Korean "expertise." It's an interesting development. I'm thinking that given the character of the two governments downrange might be the safest place to be.
It won't always be that way. Even if they blunder onto a crude solution it'll still be a solution. But this is a very long, long way from the "A" team.

Now this is a target(s) of opportunity moment.

Yes but now the Iranians probably have more nuke material. For a Nuke bomb or a dirty conventional the Iranians are probably ahead of the NK’s.

Nahhhh this can't be true, those two legs of that pesky 'Axis of Evil' joined Saddam on the dung heap of history due to the determination and perseverence of the LAST administration!
This is obviously some kind of disinformation, the Six Party Talks ended up with an agreement for North Korea to dismantle it's nuclear weapons program and cease their rocket testing, and we all know that our former President took effective and lasting military action against the Iranian mullahs and their little runt of a sockpuppet before he left office!
TGL, you gotta stop posting this scary propaganda! ;)

And there’s Jackass’s formal reply from Teheran to his stupid, naive video to Iran and the Iranian people asking, “can we just all get along and be friends?” a couple of weeks ago.

From the last big launch, in July 2006, they mixed in the Taepodong long range missile (which failed 2 minutes into flight), with all kinds of launches of scuds and nodongs, (from a separate facility). Looks like they may do the same thing next week:

Just connecting some dots: The North Koreans are sharing weapons technology with the Iranians. Building a missile capable of delivering a nuclear device is a major engineering feat. One can build a nuclear device capable of doing major damage. Getting such a device small enough to mount on a missile, is something that Iran is going to need help with. China may have the miniaturization technology and the rocket technology for both countries. Iran has lots of oil in the bargain.
