Request for volunteers for Rosanna Pulido - Special Election for Congress - April 7
Rosanna Pulido for Congress ^ | March 27, 2009 | Tom Hoefling

Posted on 03/27/2009 8:27:22 PM PDT by EternalVigilance

The next ten days are going to involve some intense campaigning on the ground in the Fifth District of Illinois, with the goal of electing FR's own chicagolady, Rosanna Pulido, to Congress on April 7.

We still need more volunteers!

No matter where you live, if you can make phone calls from home for Rosanna, please contact Maureen Gerrish at pulidophonebank@gmail.com, and she'll get you all set up.

If you live in or near the district, please join up with one of our teams that will be canvassing precincts every day for the next ten days. We're starting out tomorrow morning, Saturday, March 28, between 7:30 and 8:00 am, from our offices at 5310 North Harlem in Chicago. If you can't come that early that's okay. Just drop me an email and we'll make sure you're directed to the area we're working so we can meet up.

Thank you very much!

I’ll be knocking on doors tomorrow in my assigned area. It will be interesting. I encourage others to do it also. It can be a lot of fun.

And I tell my family it’s my fitness center at no cost.

I'm done working for Republicans. I'm with Rush Limbaugh/Mark Levin conservatism. It's fine if FR Republicans on here want to help GOP candidates, but just defeating Democrats didn't do us any good in '04. We still ended up with Denny Hastert and a bunch of free spending Republicans.

After working the last three elections for the county GOP out here, I'm finished with that. I will only work for conservatives. If they also call themselves Republicans, fine.

I realize this is off-topic, (and also OTL) but speaking of elections: Who finally won that Senatorial race between Norm Coleman and that idiot Al Franken? I never heard how that turned out.

Looks like Minnesota still has only one official U.S. Senator.

Currently Franken leads by 225 votes.

About Rosanna
Posted by admin On March - 19 - 2009

Rosanna Pulido was born in Chicago in 1956, and was raised on the North Side in Wrigleyville. She was educated in Catholic grammar schools and high school and attended Prairie State College.

Rosanna is a small businesswoman and an advocate for senior citizens. She produced and hosted Caregivers Radio, a program dedicated to the concerns and needs of senior citizens and their families.

She is also a staunch advocate for our veterans and for those who serve in law enforcement. She has worked extensively with sheriffs across the country in addressing the many problems created by illegal immigration.

Rosanna loves Chicago, her home state of Illinois, and America, and has a deep concern for what she sees as the ongoing erosion of freedom and constitutional government. Her extensive political involvement has always centered on the protection of the people’s rights, particularly our Second Amendment right to defend ourselves, our families, and the nation.

In April of 2005, as concerned citizens gathered in Arizona to express their dissatisfaction with the federal government’s failure to secure our borders, our national sovereignty, and the rule of law, Rosanna felt compelled to join them. Inspired by this historic citizen activism, she came home to found the Illinois Minutemen organization.

Known for her honesty, Rosanna has earned a reputation as an expert on the effects of illegal immigration, particularly in the area of the loss of jobs and the huge burden it places on taxpayers. She has testified before the Illinois legislature and in May of 2007 was invited to Washington, DC to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. She has been a guest on countless radio and television programs throughout Illinois, and has appeared nationally on shows such as Lou Dobbs, Neil Cavuto, and CNN’s American Morning.

While many people in politics talk about “reform” and fighting corruption, she’s actually done something about it. While she may bear the Republican label, she’s hardly a darling of the leaders of either the Republican or the Democratic parties. Hers is a truly independent conservative voice. When asked to describe the purpose of her political activism in one sentence, she replied, “Let’s give this government back to the people.”

On March 3,, 2009, Rosanna Pulido won the Republican nomination for Congress in Illinois’ Fifth District, earning a spot on the ballot to fill Rahm Emanuel’s vacant seat in the special election which will be held on April 7, 2009. In keeping with her view that we need citizen legislators, not more career politicians, she has promised, if elected, to be a champion for term limits.

"I'm done working for Republicans. I'm with Rush Limbaugh/Mark Levin conservatism.

Rosanna Pulido is a Limbaugh/Levin conservative. What exactly are you complaining about?

Pulido is the (obvious) real thing, please give evidence of her alleged RINOism.

Or apologize, and urge everybody to get involved.
