Not only that, but they now have your email address and will hound you forever, they don’t care what we think.

Exactly - the “survey” was merely a ruse to solicit more money. I answered their elementary questions and at the end when they asked for money to fight the Democrats in Congress, I told them that after they seal the border, deport illegals, exercised fiscal responsibility and run Conservative candidates, I would be happy to contribute.

"..asking me which direction should GOP go"Asking is one thing; actually reading it is entirely something else.

I don’t care what direction they go. I will be voting for candidates that advocate increased liberty and a return to constitutional federal government. I’m voting for candidates, not parties. Do I think the GOP will run candidates like that? No.

"Im wondering whether any surveys that come back without a donation attached just get deleted."Just as in most other things in life; the larger the donation, the better they listen.
Smaller donations are welcome, but no donation means they don't need to waste any time reading the survey.

Steele is useless and should be dismissed ASAP.As my father used to say, "Nobody is totally useless...they can always be held up as a bad example".

No money until he resigns.

Thank you Titus,
very well and eloquently summarized. We should use it as a template and mail it to spineless GOPers with attached check for $0.00.
Time for wake up before is too late!!!

I was insulted as well. They have so soon forgotten the foundations of America. They have even faster forgotten what Ronald Reagan preached so consistently.
And now they need to 'survey' what we want.
It implies that if they get back that we want a return to first principles...and they adopt that....the very next survey would be having them turn 180-degrees back into the W direction.

Great answer!
I hope you also attached a tea-bag as your “contribution”. Maybe if they get enough of them, they might see they have to change in order to be relevant.
The way I see it, ALL Republican members of Congress are tainted by their performance of the last 4 years. With the exception of a very few Representatives and a handful of Senators, I don’t see how I can trust them again. I have and they have let me down. They have to go and we need someone we can trust.

“The elections in New Jersey and Virginia offer Republicans a chance to demonstrate that we got your message and will help us seize the momentum.”
IOf he really WAS interested in fixing the problems with the GOP, he would be supporting Lonegan in New Jersey against Christie and Corzine.
But Steele is just one of the same pack who have run the GOP into ruin.

Got one also, but suspect that if no money is attached, the “survey” is round-filed pronto, just like previous RNC “surveys”.

Wonderful RINO alert! Should caption it on top, in a larger font, "Just Say NO!"
I had never heard of Reagan's 1966 speech with the explicit warning about the 'moderates':
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals of our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the party over to the so-called moderates wouldn't make any sense at all."

I want you to be honest and candid in your answers -- there's no need to sugar-coat your responses after our Party's performances in the last two elections
Steele is a jerk. And nothing more than your usual DC Lib. Quite honestly, I think he's a mole intent on further weakening the RNC. I've yet to see one shred of anything even remotely resembling a conservative principle from this loser.
There has been NO shortage of unsugarcoated honest and candid feedback for the RNC. The RNC doesn't care. The RNC wants to be liberalism lite and they want your money to do it.
I am sick to death of them. Will someone please give us a new party?

Because in the past I’ve given some money to the Repubs, they sent me surveys for a while. I used to not only answer the damn things but write comments on the sides. Then I wrote the asnwers without sending money. Now they don’t send them any more.
Until the Repubs start espousing real conservative values, ideas and positions, with courage and strength, they get not a dime from me. Steele and others of his ilk sicken me.
