“Why in the world are our corporate heads and business leaders just sitting by and watching this happen without even a murmur of complaint?”

That’s what I would like to know....

I keep asking this question on other threads devoted to this but nobody has answered: Why in the world are our corporate heads and business leaders just sitting by and watching this happen without even a murmur of complaint?

I think it's because incredibly 70-80% of corporate execs, Wall Street firms, millionaires, and nearly 100% of all American billionaires are all die hard demoRAT supporters. I recall seeing a list of corporate political donations and over 70% were to Oboooomba or other demoRAT candidates. I think that rich elitists have long ago realized that no matter what the demoRAT politicians say about raising taxes on the rich, that in reality the rich liberal elitists will ALWAYS be protected & nurtured by the demoRAT socialists. They will always be the beneficiaries of govt demoRAT socialist bailouts or special favors as long as they continue to payoff with political donations. This is why the corporate talking heads remain silent to demoRATs attacking the "bad boy" corporations or execs, because they know it's only a show. Heck even Obooombi is now back pedaling & reversing as hard as he can on attacking AIG execs....cause they pay off Oboooombi as well!!! The last thing that Oboooombi wants is for the public to rise up and demand an end to any more bailouts.

Reminds me of this:

No matter whose welfare he professes to serve, be it the welfare of God or of that disembodied gargoyle he describes as ‘The People,’ no matter what ideal he proclaims in terms of some supernatural dimension-in fact, in reality, on earth, his ideal is death, his craving is to kill, his only satisfaction is to torture.

Destruction is the only end that the mystics’ creed has ever achieved, as it is the only end that, you see them achieving today, and if the ravages wrought by their acts have not made them question their doctrines, if they profess to be moved by love, yet are not deterred by piles of human corpses, it is because the truth about their souls is worse than the obscene excuse you have allowed them, the excuse that the end justifies the means and that the horrors they practice are means to nobler ends. The truth is that those horrors are their ends.

You who’re depraved enough to believe that you could adjust yourself to a mystic’s dictatorship and could please him by obeying his orders-there is no way to please him; when you obey, he will reverse his orders; he seeks obedience for the sake of obedience and destruction for the sake of destruction. You who are craven enough to believe that you can make terms with a mystic by giving in to his extortions-there is no way to buy him off, the bribe he wants is your life, as slowly or as fast as you are willing to give it in-and the monster he seeks to bribe is the hidden blank-out in his mind, which drives him to kill in order not to learn that the death he desires is his own.

You who are innocent enough to believe that the forces let loose in your world today are moved by greed for material plunder-the mystics’ scramble for spoils is only a screen to conceal from their mind the nature of their motive. Wealth is a means of human life, and they clamor for wealth in imitation of living beings, to pretend to themselves that they desire to live, but their swinish indulgence in plundered luxury is not enjoyment, it is escape. They do not want to own your fortune, they want you to lose it; they do not want to succeed, they want you to fail; they do not want to live, they want you to die; they desire nothing, they hate existence, and they keep running, each trying not to learn that the object of his hatred is himself.

Mixed thoughts on this. The CDO business is highly risky and a lot of firms who touched this stuff are now having issues. Some wrote insurance without proper securitization and for that they should be taken out and shot. How can you write business without having the assets to back it? That’s fraud.

On the other hand, VERY scary to give government the right to seize businesses. Way too much possible abuse potential here.

Because at the highest levels of multinational business, the leaders there are in a symbiotic relationship with government. Why do you think the market soared 500 points yesterday on news that the American taxpayer would be forced to shoulder the banksters’ failure?
***************

You got it! Follow the money, or rather, the “Money Masters”. They are all connected - with each other and the government - and it goes beyond the U.S.

We are the drones, and they are the rulers.

The proposition of government seizure of failing banks and other financial institutions should be scaring a lot of people. If they can start with financial institutions it is only a small jumpt to begin seizure of other businesses (think auto companies, utility companies, newspapers, etc). Allowing the government to take over companies should never be allowed. Government is the cause of our current problems, it will never be the solution, and it will only make them worse.

No, that's why we have the Second Amendment, for those of us who exercise it.

Yep, the BIS comes to mind...... wonder where China got the idea of changing the IFM funds into some other currency...... And include more country currencys, to further dilute the dollar, though they say they are suggesting it because of Instability in the US currency. Wonder why they would think that given that the fed just printed 1 TRILLION dollars on last Friday, golly you don’t think THAT’S part of it? /sarc This is deeply disturbing, I think I am going to go buy some silver.

The Obama administration will ask Congress to give the Treasury secretary unprecedented powers to initiate the seizure of banks, companies, guns, land, homes, cars, children this all sounds like an inventation to take the whith hut congress and senate bodies.

If this is NOT a clear signal that the Obama Administration is consolidating power, and congress is right there in it with him.

You know what this means right?

How is it going to happen? How are we going to stop this? Congress isn’t listening to us, look what they have done already!

I mean, DAMN at this point GW Bush could show up on the Rush Limbaugh show and literally half the country would support him, even though he can never be president again!

“George Bush was taking too much power”
-—no, this is the way the Left has always acted:
Freud called it projection. The Left sees anyone having power except them, as an illegitimate acquisition of power.
The Left isn’t interested in the truth, in debate, in power-sharing, or whatever. They regard EVERYONE not on their team as taking away from them the power that is RIGHTFULLY THEIRS. NO ONE seems to quite understand this for what it is, but it is their MAJOR PREMISE, and the basis of all their “arguments”. Capitalism is only seen as Socialism-with-training-wheels, and Socialism is seen as the natural destination of Capitalism. That is what is behind their every thought, word, and deed. There is no other way for them. Understand this and you will understand them. This premise is the overarching objective of everything they do. The process continues, right in front of us, day by tiring day. Like the Islamic Jihadists they are not sheepish about telling you this right to your face, they just dress it up in techno-speak.Maxine Waters let it slip momentarily about a year ago in those oil company hearings: “what this Liberal wants to do is nationalize all your businss....” They must be stopped.

Once upon a time, I would have thought that even the suggestion of the nationalization of our industries and what would ultimately amount to a government takover of the means of production would have caused rioting in the streets, or at least in the boardrooms. But now? Crickets.”
