Olbermann Talks Rush, AIG on Leno

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann was a guest last night on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The majority of the interview revolved around the financial crisis — AIG and Bernie Madoff.

Leno asked Olbermann about Rush Limbaugh's support of the AIG execs keeping the bonuses. "You can look at some of the things Rush says on the air and you can find some original point where it started logically, as you suggest," said Olbermann. "That one doesn't make no sense whatsoever."

Rush is right on this one. The outrage is not contractual bonuses. The outrage is the fact that AIG still exists, due to confiscation of our money.

The game is to focus on the millions so no one pays any attention to the billions. They may mau mau some poor slob into giving back part of his bonus, and the billions still keep adding up into trillions.

I'm glad you posted this. Olbermann was in his full, magnificent idiotic glory last night. Leno wasn't that much better.

As for AIG, I think (and so does Hank Greenburg) that there were much better ways AIG could have been saved other than the idiotic plan that this and the past administration have cooked up.

The people of AIG elected to become Government Employees and will now have to abide by the dictates of Congress.

"That one doesn't make no sense whatsoever."

I think Ann Coulter was right on Olbermann's Ag Farm school credentials.

Perhaps, except that little exception Dodd and Ears put into the law allowing such compensation. I hope they take the real criminals to court and get twice as much $$

Lono works for NBC and Olb MSNBC both owned by General Electric (GE). Obama Admin backstopped $170 billion in GE debt.

Exactly. The problem started with the governments ousting of Hank Greenberg. Then, instead of allowing AIG to go into Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, they bailed them out. Now they want to shred the constitution by passing ex post facto bills of attainder. To blame this mess on AIG employees is ridiculous.

“That one doesn’t make no sense whatsoever.”

And your use of a double negative in a sentence means of course that it does make sense. Jackass.
