Rosalio Reta has claimed to police that he killed 30 people.

Rosalio "Bart" Reta pleaded guilty this morning to a December 2005 murder he carried out for the Zetas.
Reta, 19, admitted to shooting Moises Garcia as Garcia sat in his car Dec. 8, 2005 in the parking lot of the Torta-Mex restaurant on Corpus Christi street.
A judge accepted the deal Reta made with prosecutors and sentenced him to 30 years in prison.
Reta and two other sicarios, or hit men, used their vehicle to block Garcia in as he tried to leave the restaurant after eating dinner with his family, according to a plea agreement read in the 49th District Court Tuesday.
Reta exited the vehicle and fired a pistol into the driver’s side window of Garcia’s car, killing him.
The sicario is already serving a 40-year prison sentence for the Jan. 8, 2006 murder of Noe Flores. He will begin serving the 30-years for Garcia’s murder after he finishes that sentence. Reta will be eligible for parole in 30 years.
"The only reason I accept (this agreement) is it is the equivalent of a life sentence for you," Judge Joe Lopez, who presided over both of Reta’s trial for Flores’ killing, told the 5-foot-3-inch hit man.
Reta pleaded guilty to murder three days into a 2007 trial, admitting to being the driver for fellow sicario Gabriel Cardona Ramirez who killed Flores, in exchange for a 40-year prison sentence. He successfully appealed that conviction and went to trial again last year. A jury found him guilty, and Lopez sentenced him to 40 years in prison again.
Reta, who never attended high school, told police investigators he killed 30 people starting at age 13 and ending with his 2007 arrest in Monterrey, Mexico, days before he turned 17.
