If that's his actual SS#, it simply means that it was mailed from Connecticut. He could have been visiting there on a school break.

Aww...BS! Who in there right minds apply for a SS# while visiting a place on school break...what 15 or 16 year old would give a crap....I was born in '64....I was forced to apply for a SS# in 7th grade....at school....

Great, that's your opinion, that's your history.

You'd have to agree, though, wouldn't you, that not everyone's life followed the same trajectory as yours? O's grandmother, Madelyn, in perhaps the only interview ever granted, back in 2004, said that she had two priorities in life on which she spent her money: her grandchildren, and travel. So to think that her privileged grandson traveled with her isn't a stretch. In fact, a tour of the mainland in '72, with her, his mother and his half-sister, is mentioned in O's book.
