"What happened to attorney-client privilege?"

The jihadists at Gitmo get that. While their meetings with lawyers are monitored by camera, audio of those is not authorized. Despite written oaths to not pass on outside world news or encourage misbehavior, the result is their lawyers talk over resistance strategies, including hunger strikes, with them and freely pass on news.

Right, but unless I”m wrong wasn’t this a Justice Dept memo? It was just advise and analysis—not policy, per se!
