BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Gov. Bobby Jindal is getting fundraising help from former presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who is expected to be a leading GOP presidential contender again in 2012.

Jindal plans to hold a campaign event on April 16 in Boston sponsored by Romney.

Mr. Romney is working hard for the GOP.

Thank you, Mr. Romney.

If the GOP/RNC keeps being what they are, they can fundraiser all they want for the next fifty years.

The problem isn’t money, it’s the message. Liberal, soft, gutless, destroyed brand, lousy record and a voter base that’s hip to the bull. A few ‘high profile talking’ events or less honest than a WWF takedown ‘positions’ arenot going to get people to forget.

Any normal person would JUST help.
But not so, Mr. Romney. It is all about HIM.

Romney would have won against Obama. Remember, the dems called McCain “Glass Jaw.”

And I sure as hell would rather have Mitt running the show right now. No porkulus.

Before the RINO-hunters load and lock, just remember that a candidate is not responsible for the specific political views of their supporters. If the Log Cabin “Republicans” decided to fundraise for Duncan Hunter, it wouldn’t make Duncan Hunter a supporter of the gay agenda. Nor should he give the money back, since he can use it as HE sees fit - if they don’t like how he uses it, then they could refrain from giving further.

You’re right. The winner is the conservative who comes out against the GOP establishment, imo. Like Newt did with Micheals (sp) circa 1993— before Newt went elite Washingtonian.

"Romney would have won against Obama."

Wrong.

"And I sure as hell would rather have Mitt running the show right now. No porkulus."

Porky would be TWICE as big with Slick Willard.

If ONLY, Romney was not a jealous attention whore.

Can you imagine how much better America would be today
if the RomneyBOTs and TeamRomney had not sabotaged Electon2008
throwing it to Obama.

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Similar to Romney's other scortched earth tactics:

Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"

Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson
."

"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

I disagree. I do not think ANY Republicrat (or even a Republican for that matter) would have beaten Obama in 2008. The last presidential election was the "perfect storm" of citizen dissatisfaction, new-voter ignorance/stupidity and ACORN antics.

Raise money for 2010. That is what is important now. Removing Steele would be a good start on 2010. You would see accolades for Steele on every Conservative site as well as much of Conservative radio and TV.

You see the same now with Palin and Jindal and 2010 and the issues be damned. There will be others to step up in 2012 that we haven’t even considered yet. Right now there is only Cantor and possibly Sanford about whom I could enthusiastically cast a vote. A competent and conservative replacement for Steel is far more important than any of this right now though.
