I moved from Illinois to Idaho and even with Illinois income tax going up 50%, it’s still half of what it is here in Idaho.

Of course, my real estate taxes are 1/5 of what they are in Illinois. I pay $1600 here, my boss in Illinois pays $11,000.

Good grief...I won’t complain about my $500 property tax here in Colorado again.

I moved from CA to Idaho. My income taxes dropped and property taxes went up. In the last couple years, the state caught up with realistic housing prices vs homeowner's exemptions. My annual property taxes dropped from $3300 to around $2,000. Compared to CA, I'm way ahead on taxes, gun rights, less traffic. I'm a bit behind on quality of health care services.
