Blago was right - the fix is in.
All that in a state with toll booths every five feet on the interstate.
Why is it that the FIRST response to budget deficits is to raise taxes? What the hell happened to CUTTING COSTS and REDUCING EXPENDITURES????
These LibTards need to be schooled in basic economics and Constitutional law (as written, not the LibTard interpretive method).
It’s time to take back the country.
Yep.
Great way to convince businesses to MOVE OUT OF ILLINOIS!
We don’t have State Income Tax here in Washington, but my property tax jumps up April 1st by $117 a month which pretty much erases any Obama Tax break.
I DID THE MATH.
My bi-weekly federal withholding LAST PAYDAY 246.54 THIS PAYDAY after the tax cut 215.77
Extra on my bi-weekly paycheck + $ 30.77 or 61.54 a Month
But I just got a letter that my Escrow is increasing $117 a months beginning April 1st due to local tax increases.
MY NET LOSS each month $55.46. Thats Right, this middle class well below 250K worker, in fact below 100K, WILL BE PAYING MORE TAXES.
Everyone knows you can tax your way to prosperity.
There will be business lined up to get into Illinois after this move.
I don’t know of a quicker way to torches and pitchforks than a 50% tax increase!....this is lunacy!
“When you tax something you get less of it”..Ronald Reagan
What does this Illinois Asshat want to do?....turn his state into ghost towns?
A state Governor who keeps taxes low and runs a balanced budget or even a surplus can be a viable candidate for President in 2012 with the economic disasters of the state governments on the horizon!
No state taxes here in Florida but the libs from the north moving down here are already suggesting a Florida state tax. Jeez, now they have got rid of potlucks, gambling machines etc. & now trying for a state tax. I’m no longer “loving Florida”.
This means over here in WI Doyle thinks he has the go ahead to raise ours 45%...great.
In about 3 years the remaining Illinois residents can swap sad stories with Michigan residents. They will all agree that the problem lies with those greedy corporations and greedy 'rich' people who wouldn't stick around to foot the bills for 'those less fortunate'. And I'm sure they'll feel much better for having someone to blame while their states crumble.
Although the tax increase guarantees the beneficiaries will re-elect the dims in charge, it lights up the exit sign for anybody with an income they would like to keep. Maybe the Illinois dims can build really large walls around the state to keep people in before the new tax becomes effective.
