What are these ads on the web that you speak of? I remember seeing ads on the internet years ago, but I can’t remember the last time I saw one.

Google doesn’t track me much, because I don’t use it if I can possibly avoid it, even at work. The little bit that they can track is useless, as it’s usually just inane, alcohol-inspired TV-watching triggered searches. I have NEVER clicked on a Google ad, even with a six pack aboard.

I just wish I could get this infernal “splash” screen from Micro-Kludge to go away.

I went so far as to actually download and install the “updates” for XP and IE8, but no joy.

It’s like they are trying to force me to buy Vista by driving me mad.

As soon as I click on the “home” icon, I go to my regular homepage, but I’m sick to death of this bloody MS page.

Apple-nerds, don’t bother with your “get a mac” comments: I like to tell my computer what to do, not have it decide how to do things for me. I’ve tried mac, I detest mac even more than I hate this uninvited opener on my ‘puter.

Linux folks, I have better things to do with my time than learn a new OS, no matter how “simple” it’s purported to be.

Just help me get rid of this splash screen. Please, anyone who knows how. Even my dogs will appreciate it.

All the front page does is show if you have any cookies from one of the sites.

Block cookies and you achieve the same thing without signing up for anything.
