Haven’t you heard? Obama views it as being an out dated document and doesn’t apply to him.

"How many present-day politicians can say the same?"

Oh, they can say it. They just can't do it.

There are several versions of the “Declaration of Dependence” around the Internet.

If he views the Declaration as out of date, he will view the Constitution as out of date as well.

"Of liberty I would say that, in the whole plenitude of its extent, it is unobstructed action according to our will. But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual."
--Thomas Jefferson to Isaac H. Tiffany, 1819.

When the Hebrew slaves rebelled against their Egyptian rulers, were they committing sin?

"If I met any of those brave men in the great beyond, I would be ashamed to tell them what has happened to America. "

Yep! They most certainly enjoyed more freedom & liberty than we do today. Had they been around any time between 1910 - 1939 they would have excised the slide into tyranny right then with another revolution.

When the Hebrew slaves rebelled against their Egyptian rulers, were they committing sin?

The Hebrews were liberated not by rebellion but by a higher Authority!

Deuteronomy 26:8

And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

Psalm 2

1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

John 19:10-11

Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

Acts 8

20 And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country.
21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.
22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.
23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

To: rabscuttle385 On April 15th millions of people should send a copy to the Whitehouse....

With this phrase highlighted and underlined:

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.
