I don’t agree that crucifixation was done in the nude.....however, that being said, I am a Catholic, 70 years old, and I have never seen a nude crucifix before.....pathetic display
You think the Romans let the person they were executing in the most painful and humiliating way they could, keep a loin cloth on?
Obviously not having been there, I can’t comment on Christ’s particular crucifixion but it was normal for the executed man to be naked. And they did strip him and gamble for his robes.
