I’d be interested to know if any FReepers got hurt by Madoff.

I’m inclined to consider him a bit of a villainous hero. He singlehandedly did more harm to the far left’s funding apparatus than anyone in history.

I know a union electrician whose union had put some of their investments in a fund that ultimately had Madoff exposure. Their investments lost millions...

How so? He funded local Rat politicians who will get the money from others.
He ain’t Soros and he isn’t funneling international money to a campaign like Obama did by stripping out the credit card protections on collections.
