The Salt Lake Tea Party is on the West Stairs of the Utah State Capitol to protest the out-of-control spending and the squandering of our country's future. The "Salt Lake Tea Party" (in honor of the Boston Tea Party) will be on Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City. Poster making begins at 11:00 AM and the rally will kick off at 12:00 noon when the legislators break for lunch. We want to tell the legislators what we think as they walk down the stairs to go to lunch. There are tax breaks and bailouts for everyone who made this mess and people who made prudent decisions within their means are left to pay for the cleanup.

Now, I will stand and talk to the wind if no one shows up. But, it would be better if you could help me get the word out and let the politicians know what we think. Better yet, COME AND JOIN US!

Oh shoot! I missed it! I was noticing that there seemed to be no effort for a “Tea Party” in Utah. I kept looking and looking on country-wide reports and schedules to see if there would be one somewhere in UT. Finally there is one, I didn’t know about it, now I’m too late to join in it! Craappp...!
Even if I can’t join you, Mr. Kirkham, you’re efforts are much appreciated! I’m afraid I missed it, and I was looking all over the place to see if UT would have one somewhere. I was grumping about it, and was disappointed there was not one planned in UT. And then to my surprise, there is one, and I miss out on it!
I wish someone would create a tea party map and keep it updated so that you could easily bookmark and stay informed. An RSS feed would also be helpful.
The federal income tax code is beyond repair. It needs to be replaced. Anyone interested in replacing the federal income tax code with a national sales/consumption tax and abolishing the IRS via The Fair Tax Act(HR25/S296) can become a Fair Tax supporter by signing a petition and have others also sign.
