You mean like the PUMA women that somehow never turned out to vote for McCain?

If it takes Democrats to stop this commie bastard, we are screwed anyway because we don’t have a single party that truly represents us.

The closest you’re going to get is Robert Byrd which isn’t saying much.

"I wouldn’t get too giddy over supposed “blue dog” unrest. Only seven voted against the “stimulus” bill."

Yes, but things have gotten progressively worse since the vote. We can't give up.

Bush-era tax cuts for wealthy families

Ggrrrr. Marginal rates were cut ACROSS THE BOARD for EVERYBODY. In fact, the biggest tax increases from ending the Bush tax policies will fall on the lowest income earners. Is that old canard EVER going to die?

In most cases, the word ‘wealthy’ is totally misused, and the rats need to be called on it every time. People that have worked hard to be successful are being demonized, and to the libs wealthy has become a dirty word synonymous with greed. It's the same old class warfare cr@p the dims use every time they want to raise your taxes.

1. There aren’t that many “Blue Dog Democrats” anymore — certainly not 49. A dozen, maybe 2 dozen tops. Some of them can be controlled, cajoled or kept in line by other means by Ms. Pelosi.

2. The Republicans can’t take advantage of these Blue Dogs because they essentially have nothing to offer. When Reagan was President, Blue Dogs had something to gain by allying themselves in a coalition with the White House and Congressional Republicans. Now, with Obama in the Oval Office and Liberals in control of Congress, the only thing thing that could motivate them is the satisfaction of standing up for principles. And that and $5 will buy you a Latte at Starbucks... Besides, NO, Republicans aren’t smart or savvy enough to exploit Blue Dogs anyway...

I don’t think it is that far-fetched. We’ll see.

You've overlooked one thing:

The 49 Democrats are from congressional districts that backed Republican Senator John McCain's 2008 presidential race.
The 2010 election is coming up. If these 49 have any hope of being reelected in their obvious Republican districts, they're going to have to show some level of understanding the catastrophe that is about to hit their constituents. These guys/gals also have wealthy benefactors in their home districts who are probably giving them an earful.

(I can't even imagine how awful the Republican candidates in these districts must have been for the people to vote for John McCain and then elect a democrat to Congress!)

The dems taking away the mortgage and charity deductions, only means that these organization will have to turn to the government for support. Thats' the whole purpose for eliminating the deductions. It will also be for all pay not just those making $250.

It will start with people making over $200 - 250K... but the deductions will be eliminated for everyone eventually. What better way for the government to control everything.

We can't give up.

True. The Dems are in the process of overreaching and some are even threatening to go against the leadership. Now if we could just count on occasional help from the RINOs.
