Upper-Income Taxpayers Look for Ways to Sidestep Obama Tax-Hike Plan (You gotta read this)
Abcnews ^ | 3/2/09 | EMILY FRIEDMAN

So far, Obama's tax plan is being looked at skeptically by both Democrats and Republicans and therefore may not pass at all.

"We are going to try to figure out how to make our income $249,999.00," she said.

"We have to find a way out where we can make just what we need to just under the line so we can benefit from Obama's tax plan," she added. "Why kill yourself working if you're going to give it all away to people who aren't working as hard?"

What a hoot! Finally, people as starting to figure out how hosed they're going to be with the Messiah's tax plan. Go to the middle of the first page and vote in their silly poll.

What the hell does he think that we are going to do? He is
creating a welfare state! 3.8 million people cannot pay for everything. This burden is too much to bare. I never dreamed that I would regret trying to become a business owner. It’s like we are being punished and targeted.

I know. I own a business and I PROMISE you I'll be under $250,000 this year. Now, I may own more cars or a plane at the end of the year, but I will not pay these idiots more in income taxes. I'll get hit with sales taxes, but at least I'll decide what I want to pay, not these idiots.

""Why kill yourself working if you're going to give it all away to people who aren't working as hard?"

Silly woman, it's not going to matter if you take your 300,000. and make it 249,999.00. You are going to pay regardless for those who aren't working as hard, or don't want to work at all. Just wait untill you wake up and see what cap and trade- or rather "air tax" kicks in, along with other sin taxes and government regulatory fee hikes.

Agree, and the scary part is how the Dims will selectively enforce the new tax administration?

"Why kill yourself working if you're going to give it all away to people who aren't working as hard?"

The only solution is to be one of those who "aren't working as hard..."

You ARE being targetted for the specific crime of trying to be independent of the elite in the central planning authority.

It was too much to bear BEFORE Obama came along. Now it's just unbearable.

We’re going to see some selective enforcement of ALL laws.
And the lines are going to be ideological and perhaps even racial.

They’ll do this with the high minded idea of achieving “social justice”.

I fought the temptation to comment on the article with some liberal sounding gibberish followed by ‘I guess what I am really trying to say is why should someone be able to drive a nicer car than me just because they work 40 more hours a week than I do?’. Many liberals do not seem to understand the sarcasm in such a statement.

And when they succeed and Bambi's minions discover that they have ducked the first round, the bar will be lowered and more people will be targeted.

Before this jerk is deposited in the dust bin of history, people making more than $50k per year will be subject to confiscitory tax rates.

I predict a strong, underground economy will be growing this year.

My vegetable garden will be large and I will begin canning and freezing produce this year. I think there will be some serious hunting and fishing in my future and stews of venison will be popular this next winter in my crock pot.

Obama is going to bomb the USA back into the 1800s!
