Hughley was giving Steele several personal compliments.

Highley is an amazingly negative and angry person for a so-called comedian. I recall he played a writer that Arron Sorkin show "studio 60" or something like that about a late night TV comedy skit show and in it he was in a comedy club doing this angry unfunny rant about social injustice and the head writer for the show gushed how he just had to have him as a writer on the show. He played himself, apparantly. Angry, convinced he is smarter than everyone, and full of hate for those he considers his enemies. But it's okay because he keeps his cool, never shouts. Oh sure, he can say the Republican party looks like the Nazi party due to it's lack of diversity but that's not mean spirited! no, just thoughtful. And by they way, Michael Steele should be ashamed of himself for allowing that comment to go by unchallenged.

No. He dismissed the entire position as largely irrelevant, saying it didn’t really matter who won.

"I hope the RNC chairman will realize he's not a talking head pundit, that he is supposed to be working on the grassroots and rebuilding it, and maybe doing something about our open primary system and fixing it so that Democrats do not nominate our candidates. It's time, Mr. Steele, for you to go behind the scenes and start doing the work that you were elected to do instead of trying to be some talking head media star, which you're having a tough time pulling off. I hope you figure out how to run a primary system. But it seems to me that it's Michael Steele who is off to a shaky start."

Where do we get all these RINOs? What has happened to the Republican Party since my boss, President Reagan, was our leader?! No wonder a neophyte, do-nothing, teleprompter tied, possibly illegal alien Chicago machine politician beat Sen. John McCain last Fall!! The Democrats were able to pick an uber-RINO to be the GOP nominee, ACORN was able to steal millions of votes and the rest is history...

More important than Steel apologizing to Rush is him picking up the gauntlet and RUNNING IT.

Offense! Offense! Offense!

Blacks and LEGAL immigrants are being massively disenfranchised by amnesty past and threatened.

Youth are being massively disenfranchised by enormous tax burdens—and the reality of tax rates and oppression that create deliberate ceilings on their future.

Women are being massively threatened by pandering to women-subjugating terrorists.

Libertarian/Classical Liberal free speech is being threatened by ‘Fairness/Censorship Doctrine’ and ‘Net Neutrality’ and ‘Hate Speech’ evils and true Liberals need to speak out with Conservatives to defend that right.

Individuals are being robbed of their ability to defend themselves by the IMMORAL and unlawful outlawing of their private weapons, while also being robbed of quality of life by those who pander to criminals as future voters instead of deserving swift sure punishment including the death penalty for ALL murder.

...and the list could and should go on....

“Nevermind that he's an anti-gun RINO who's really not up to the job - skin color was the issue”.

Correct. I do not see one conservative ELECTED official, nor the RNC types that have the stones to fight. Rush can say mostly what he thinks, and he says it well.

I tried to tell the early Steele cheering sections that Mikey was a RINO, and that because I live in Maryland, it was no secret to us. If you think that Steele was nominated for Lt. Governor for his conservative positions, or that Ehrlich won one term as governor because of his, you are way wrong.

Steele was nominated for his skin color then, and as you correctly state, he was nominated for the RNC position for exactly the same reason.

The guy tries to play both sides. He has failed.

...this man [Steele] is inadequate in every measure and I am being kind... he is operating far beyond his ability

To be blunt, he is a token Negro.

The GOP looked at the (semi) black president, and seem to have said "Let's get us one too!"

Even Steele seems to acknowledge that as when he appeared on that black comedian's "news" show (D.L Dooby or something like that) he stated that you can't go wrong if you bet on black.

The republican party picked him for all the wrong reasons. Well, actually only one. He looks like B. Hussein Obama.

Instead of the RINO republican national committee, people should give to the Club For Growth:

I kinda hope that Steele and Rush will now take a page from the Obama playbook. Just say, when asked about it, that there is no problem between the two of them, and that there is no story, so there's no need to pursue it.

EVERY elected Republican, if questioned about it, needs to laugh and ask why on earth the media is worried about this issue, which isn't important, when the country is faced with such economic problems that are the result of That One's wrong-headed policies, then relate the problems with it. And they need to STAY on that answer, no matter how often they're asked.

Supposedly, they have already spoken and smoothed things over. So said Sean Hannity on FOXNEWS.

They need to watch this anti-Rush strategy of the Dems which is designed to split conservatives and get everyone talking about the Rush flap instead of Obama's failed policies.

HE is wrong for whatever reason... and there are many... he is wrong because he is liberal and he is trying to redefine Conservatism as dims that do not hate America. Conservatism is as Mark Levin says... a way to live life, not just a political philosophy. steele is not Conservative and does not know what it truly means to be Conservative.
