40 Days for Life consists of 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion,
40 days of constant, peaceful vigil outside abortion centers and Planned Parenthood offices
and 40 days of active pro-life community outreach.
Your community may be participating in this prayerful vigil.
If so, please join others in your area
or unite with thousands across America during the 40 days of Lent
in praying for an end to abortion in this nation.
Pray that those tempted to abort may understand that their child is already present, and already a real person.
SCRIPTURE
And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy."

Jesus not only loves unborn children -- He was one himself!
Think about this for a moment.
We often hear people speak of a pregnant mother by saying, "She's expecting a child."
Now if one is expecting a package, the package is not yet there.
As reflected in our verse for today, however, this is not the case with the mother.
Her gift is already there.
The pregnant woman, a mother already, does not have a child "on the way," but has a child, already present and in full possession of his or her human rights, starting with the right to life.
PRAYER
Jesus, open my eyes to your presence in the life of every child. Open my heart to joy in the birth of every child, a birth that reflects the joy of your own birth in Bethlehem. As you shared life in the womb of Mary, so now send your protection upon every child still in the womb, and grant to their mothers the strength and joy that comes from welcoming the gift of life. We pray through Christ our Lord, Amen.
Cover these precious unborn babies with Your loving protection, and place in the hearts of all mothers the desire to preserve and defend the lives of these defenseless creations. Expose the lies that have kept women in darkness regarding "choice" and may Your truth prevail in this nation. Change hearts, Lord as You strengthen us for this struggle between good and evil. And may You receive all the praise and glory. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Is it not great when a state that is suppose to be American turns out to be Nazi or Communist? Must be a lot of the covert Nazi living there.
I share your deep concerns and mourn for the America that once was. Fortunately, we serve a Living God, and nothing is impossible with Him.
Our Loving Savior, Please Keep Your Hand Over Your Precious Unborn Lambs. May the Power of Christ Preserve their Young and Vulnerable Lives. We Pray that Your Sovereign Grace will Change and Renew People's Hearts. May they be Given Eyes to See the Wickedness that Abortion Truly is. We Ask, Your Excellency, that the Abortuaries will be Closed. May those who Run and Fund them Repent of the Slaughters they have Done.
Our Master, Please Raise Up Men of Courage who will not Cringe from this Fight. Please Help those who Love Life to Stand Firmly for what they believe. Thank You for Hearing us, our God of Compassionate Love. O Lord of the Unborn, Please Cover them with Your Mercy, as we Pray in our Jesus' Name, amen.
