An attorney is threatening legal action if the University of Colorado doesn't waive a $3,000 fee for student groups hosting an appearance by former Weather Underground member Bill Ayers and fired CU professor Ward Churchill.
CU spokesman Bronson Hilliard said it's standard to charge student groups fees to recoup security costs for large events. He said the $3,000 charge is toward the lower end of what the school charges.

Hire a bunch of militia members for this event, deputize 'em, and have them supply security for Ayres. They'd probably work for a dollar a day, being patriots and all, that way they could get a bout a thousand of 'em, and still cut the fee by two thirds.
It's a win, win.
The more they have to worry about security, the more expensive it will become, and the less we will have to hear from these two traitors who have been stealing air for 40 years too long.

The March 5 event, “Forbidden Education and the Rise of Neo-McCarthyism,” will be held at the Glenn Miller Ballroom, and also will feature author and activist Derrick Jensen.
Co-sponsors include the Student Environmental Action Coalition and 180 Degree Shift at the 11th Hour.

Where: Glenn Miller Ballroom, University Memorial Center, CU campus, Boulder
Cost: The event is free for CU students. Tickets are $5 in advance for community members, and there will be a $6 to $10 sliding scale at the door. Tickets are available at the UMC Connection, local King Soopers outlets and TicketsWest.com. Organizers says free tickets also are available to “activist community members”
If this guy wins his suit, the people who arranged the recent D’Souza-Hitchens debate should ask for a refund too.
