GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- A nuclear space power institute at the University of Florida has been raided by the FBI.
Supervisory Assistant U.S. Attorney Karen Rhew in Tallahassee said search warrants were served at the university's Innovative Nuclear Space Power and Propulsion Institute.
Rhew would not comment on the target of the investigation, but University of Florida spokesman Steve Orlando said the FBI was in the office of professor Samim Anghaie, the Iranian-born director of the institute.

I worked in a similar department and we always preferred qualified American students. For cost as well as security issues. It costs almost twice as much to have an international researcher and we have security clearance headaches. The problem is a serious lack of qualified Americans.
Over the years, the department has been about ~70% international students and faculty. If you include residents/citizens that were born abroad(like me), foreign faculty is closer to 90%.
American students just don't see the point of being paid peanuts for almost 10 years and then earning less than someone else with a bachelor's with 10 years work experience.
We are reaping whats been sown with the crazy “diversity” BS throughout society....particularly in our universities. Literally slitting our own throats.
