TV Newser: MSNBC's Chris Matthews has responded to his uttering of the words "Oh God" just as Gov. Bobby Jindal emerged to deliver the GOP response last night. TVNewser has obtained some of what Matthews will say on "Hardball" tonight: "I was taken aback by that peculiar stagecraft, the walking from somewhere in the back of this narrow hall, this winding staircase looming there, the odd anti-bellum look of the scene. Was this some mimicking of a president walking along the state floor to the East Room?"

No, dummy Chris, it was just a Governor walking through the Governor’s mansion. DUH!
....and Ding-Dong wasn’t mocking the Oval Office with his faux Oval Office background in that half hour pre election advert.
Shut your mouth Chrissy your oral farts are killing the ozone!
Liberals are huge bigots, always have been....my SIL is one!
I love the period of the ante-bellum South, at least the romanticism of it. I wouldn’t mind having had to live there. There were plenty of people who didn’t have slaves and still lived a plantation kind of life. Mint julep, please!
bttt
Right after the speech, Chrissy the leg, Bath Tub Boy, Rachael Meow were all totally dismissive of the speech. Could that channel be any more in the tank for the sneaky little bitch that we have for a president?
I don’t think the “outsource” was a reference to Indian heritage HERE, because the contextual remarks make clear that Chrissy was referring to Jindal’s not being a member of Congress. (Well, not anymore. He served a term in the House.)
But yes: Just imagine if a conservative commentator had said this about an Indian-heritage LIBERAL governor. He’d’ve been pilloried.
It’s funny how conservatives attack liberals based on there politics and the STUPID plans that they sign off on. Liberals attack the way conservatives LOOK!? Are you kidding me! Come on Chris... if you’re so smart why don’t you try attacking something that Jindal said. Oh wait you can’t... everything he said made sense.
It's a favorite period of history for me too. Back then, men were men, and the honor of your word meant something.
First of all there will NEVER be anyone of Indian heritage who ever becomes a Democrat Governor ~ you can bank on that.
Chris Matthews, MSNBC's best, is a master of the quarter-baked utterance and the involuntary spit-take. Nobody should be surprised at anything that emerges from his mouth.
Yes Chris, the backdrop should have been Joe Biden’s neighborhood 7-11.
It could happen, but what I like about the GOP “minority” guys (and ladies) is that they never make an issue OF their ethnicity. Liberal candidates all too often DO.
I think it was snide, and intentionally so.
Women like Chris do this sort of thing all the time, on the order of, "Oops, did I say that out loud?"
Easy on the ante-bellum nostalgia: it was a time of horror for anybody capable of clear thought and empathy for the plight of the enslaved and down-trodden.
Chris Matthews needs mental help. Really bad. He’s got to be frying his brain with some kind of toxic substance, whether it’s drugs or alcohol I don’t know, but he’s gone off the deep end.
Leftists are racists.
Yes. Yes he did.
