They finally posted this on Thomas and the GPO websites.

The PDF version is at http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=111_cong_bills&docid=f:h1105ih.txt.pdf

And the THOMAS version is at http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.1105:

This is the $400-$500 Billion bill that funds all of the federal government for Fiscal Year 2009. It will be passed and signed into law no later than March 6, 2009.

Nice of them to finally show us what's in it.

Post any pork medallions you find here.

I was just going to ask if there were any “tiny porky things” in it and read your comment about the medallions.

One thing no one can deny, there are some very funny folks who post on FR. And I do appreciate the laughs.

Oh, and there's an "Explanatory Statement" posted in two sections:

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?r111:H23FE9-0056: and http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?r111:H23FE9-0057:

In theory, those explanatory statements will disclose any and all "earmarks" requested by members.

Yet another BOHICA moment, brought to you by the socialists in Washington, DC.

I don’t suppose any of the political elite will read this one, either...

I propose calling this bill the "PORKIBUS".

Also, why not change the national motto to:

E Porkibus Unum.

Logo ideas & suggestions are welcome!

This bill BY LAW was due out before the start of the current fiscal year, Oct. 31, 2008. This bill is for the current fiscal year. What a crock.

House calendar:

January 6 111th Congress, 1st Session convenes
January 19 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
January 20 Inauguration Day
January 29-31 Republican Conference Issues Conference
February 5-7 Democtratic Caucus Issues Conference
February 16 Presidents Day
February 16 - 20 Presidents Day District Work Period

It’s been only 49 days since the house convened; only 38 of those WEEKDAYS.

About 30 days minus the federal holidays and back in districts....

Minus 6 days where the dems/reps were out at their retreats.

So in 24 workdays, we’re on House Bill # 1105!

46 bills filed per day for the 111th congress, and unlimited bills to pay for the 21st century Americans.
