Shouldn't it be F Y B O? I mean, if you are going to spell it out? FUBO allows more flexibility in case we're detained for hate-speech. It sounds like FUBAR, we can say it's short for "F'd Up By Obama".

My suggested (and slightly be socially acceptable) meaning: Fd Up By Obama.
Beat me to the punch (see Post 81); GMTA (great minds think alike).

not mean FU Barack Obama; what first occurred to me was a play on FUBAR, as in Fd Up By Obama. But I could be wrong. That's exactly what I thought. A play on FUBAR. If that's not correct...I've lost my fun word.

That's EXACTLY what I thought he meant until I looked a little closer.
Around here you see the trashiest of the trash wearing those things.

Yes, a variation on
FUBAR was what came to mind, myself. Fouled up by Obama. Mega FUBO'd, at that.
We can keep it clean, or at least explain it that way. Like FUBAR originally was.
To: SuziQ
Tell them it means : For US Barack Obama. A variation of “For Us By Us” (FUBU). They might even get bumper stickers and get their car keyed by other liberals who are in the know.

I like it. I suggest displaying along side this:
"This was the flag of the early colonists who had joined together in the protest against the British impositions on American economic freedom. In 1767, the Sons of Liberty adopted a flag called the "Rebellious Stripes" with nine uneven vertical stripes (five red and four white). It is supposed that nine represented the number of colonies that were to attend the Stamp Act Congress. A flag having thirteen horizontal red and white stripes, used by American merchant ships during the war, was also associated with the Sons of Liberty. On December 16, 1773, the Sons of Liberty protested the Parliament's Tea Act, an action that became known as the Boston Tea Party."

The website I linked is a do-it-yourself bumper sticker website. You can either create one just like the one I created or go to the bottom of
this page and select a different template.
