If it is priced like that for RC airplane hobbyists, it will something like $10 a year...not a big deal but it is a BS gov mandate.

that’s my gut feel too. Licensed gun owners are not a high risk. They shouldn’t do it (I live in IL) but if they do, some insurance companies should step up with the lowest possible cost insurance (how about $1/year) to make it a moot point.

Baloney, it's no big deal!

This sets up each jack-booted thug in the Civilian National Security Force up with a free lottery ticket. If any unsuspecting homeowner resists the CNSF coming in to take the homeowner's guns, the CNSF bub's got an immediate $1M to cover his wounds or help his 4 illegitimate out-of-wedlock, latch-key welfare children all go to Harvard.

With such financial cover it'll be easier for Barry to get his cowardly minions to stick it to the crackers. More people will die.

<<IMHO it is a big deal—it is incremental encroachment.

<<Uh beg to differ, but it is a huge deal and any encroachment on an amendment right is a whole lot more tha BS.

—this type of liability insurance does not even exist according to NRA outside attorney Stephen Holbrooke. So to say it would be $10/mo and no big deal is a very faulty assumption.

Also, why do we need to have insurance when this is a constitutionally guaranteed right?!?!

As a mom who has husband often out of town, I appreciate the right to own a gun—without insurance... Illinois is already a heavily regulated state.

The Rep that is sponsoring the bill Ken Dunkin, likely an obie wannabe, is from some urban Chicago district, Murder capital of the US. It is ironic because if people could conceal and carry in Chicago, perhaps it would not be murder capital. Of course, Criminals will not carry the insurance... IL people need to contact his office! He is nuts!
