The editor for the Australian Conservative says the tragic brush fires in Australia can be partly blamed on the environmentalists or "greenies."
One of the worst brush fires in decades has ravished parts of Victoria, Australia. Authorities say more than 1,800 homes have been destroyed as well as over 150 lives lost and over 1,000 square miles of land scorched. Authorities have even designated some destroyed towns as crime scenes and suspect that arsonists have started some of the fires. (See related video)
Australian Conservative editor John Styles says the Green Party is blaming the fires on so-called manmade global warming, and is calling for drastic political action to be taken to address the issue.
"Climate change has been an underlying theme of much of the coverage here," he notes. "The climate change lobby is extremely powerful and exerts tremendous influence. The vast majority of the Australian media are on the climate change bandwagon."

The fires may have been set by Greenies.
The circus of climate change should pack up and go to another planet.
The US had the same problem many years ago. It is not really as much the fault of those who started the fires, because sooner or later they would have come, anyway; than it is those local leaders who discouraged the thinning and removal of excess foliage.
In the US, our problems began with trying to put out all forest fires, which led to many foot deep dead fall. So when the fire eventually happened, they were much worse than they should have been. Since that time, we have been using controlled burns to reduce the hazard.
Right now, the Australians should be thinking about zoning requirements for when they rebuild, as well as creating fire breaks, and other measures to reduce the threat in the future.
