Praise the Lord! The N. Dakota Personhood bill, HB 1572, passed out of the House Tuesday 51-41. It defines a "person" under N. Dakota law as any member of the human genome, which would extend to unborn children.

The Senate is its next stop, so continue to be in prayer!

Courageous legislators in Maryland and other states are also running Personhood bills this year. Please write to your legislators and urge them to support these bills -- for most legislators the transition from a regulation-minded pro-life stance to a Personhood-minded pro-life stance is a matter of education.

Thanks for your help and prayers!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: North Dakota Personhood Bill Passes, First In US History.

Bismark, ND. Signaling the growing momentum of the personhood movement, North Dakota Lawmakers approved HB1572 with a vote of 51-41.

Rep. Dan Ruby introduced the "Personhood" bill, which affirms the rights of pre-born humans and states: "For purposes of interpretation of the constitution and laws of North Dakota, it is the intent of the legislative assembly that an individual, a person, when the context indicates that a reference to an individual is intended, or a human being includes any organism with the genome of homo sapiens."

Thousands of calls to legislators were made by pro-life Grassroots volunteers which helped with this victory. Only one Representative voiced opposition to the bill during the debate of the bill, while overwhelming public support was seen.

"Personhood USA applauds the leadership and support that the North Dakota Policy Council and the North Dakota Life League have shown to make this victory happen," stated Keith Mason of Personhood USA. He continued, "We thank Rep. Dan Ruby for his courage and for being actively pro-life. This great family man is an example to us all."

"North Dakotans have gotten used to cold temperatures like -44 degrees, but they haven't gotten used to child-killing. We applaud and support their efforts to protect every baby by love and by law," commented Cal Zastrow, who, along with his family, worked on the North Dakota bill on the grassroots level.

The next step for Bill 1576 is to be voted on by the State Senate which could happen in the next two weeks.

"HB 1576 brings us one step closer to applying the same laws that apply to you and me, to all humans," said Daniel Woodard, Lobbyist with North Dakota Life League.

Personhood USA is a grassroots Christian organization founded to establish personhood efforts across America to create protection for every child by love and by law. Personhood USA is committed to assisting and supporting Personhood Legislation and Constitutional Amendments and building local pro-life organizations through raising awareness of the personhood of the pre-born.

What I’m looking forward too is when the Judicial Tyranny calls their law unconstitutional, ND says, “We’re going to enforce it anyway.”

Secession NOW!!

When the federal government has removed itself from Constitutional limits, secession is patriotic.

Just because an unborn person is legally recognized as such doesn’t mean that his or her individual rights absolutely trump the mother’s in all circumstances whatsoever.

But at the very least, such a person deserves at least the level of legal due process afforded any other person before being removed from life support.

Yes, I agree that the people and the states need to begin to say no to unconstitutional edicts. The Tenth Amendment movement is one of my hopes.

But, if the union is dissolved, America’s enemies will have won.

The guy who wrote the pledge was socialist. I don’t think the Union needs to be dissolved but that the states would take a stand against the Feds and take away most of their funding.

America has enemies foreign and domestic. If we don’t stop the domestic ones first, we will have no chance against the foreign ones.

You are absolutely right.

Abraham Lincoln:

"At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it? Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years. At what point, then, is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."

Good news! And certain glad this measure is on its way to being passed.

But, isn’t it crazy when you take a step back and think we actually have to go through legislative action to call an unborn baby a homosapien, a person.

What a mixed up world we live in.

The secessionist talk is irresponsible and does nothing but distract good people from what must be done if this country is to survive.

The United States is not going to be broken up. The only question is whether it is going to have a government that serves to protect the unalienable rights of the good people from the bad guys or whether it will consist as it does now of the bad guys controlling and dictating their evil will to the good people.

Indeed.

This generation can’t even see something so obvious that the founders simply called it “self-evident.”

We’ve been trying to have a government like that for ever, it’s not working. The people in DC are unaccountable and have put so many laws and rules in place that it’s next to impossible to remove them.

Every pro-life senator, congressman, governor and former president ought to show up at the signing of this bill. Get this all over the news. Throw down the gauntlet to the murderous Supreme Court, and serve them notice that they’re not the end-all/be-all of law in this nation - not when their decisions defy reason, morality and natural affection (not to mention the Constitution and the Declaration!)

Time for the people to get their act together, then, so that they have the wherewithal to throw off the shackles.

This is true.

And just because something is wrong does not mean we should make it illegal or stop it. The genocide in Rwanda is wrong (I have not heard God tell the world that He ordered it) but that does not mean we should send the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force to stop it.

The folks you describe really aren’t that pro-life, frankly. So, they won’t. And the “news,” if you’re referring to most of the existing media, won’t cover it, for the most part. They’re playing for the other team.

It’s up to us to push this on every front, and to get the word out to every American who will listen. We must become the media.

The United States is not going to be broken up.

Nothing lasts forever, my FRiend. The Soviet Union broke up almost overnight. Kosovo is now an independent state from Serbia, yet at one time it was the heartland of Serbia.

We are witnessing a balkanization of America. The Red states and the Blue states are, in essence, wholly different countries united by nothing more than a history of unity. America was born of an idea and unfortunately that idea is, for the majority of Americans dead. Can America as we know it be far behind.
