Suze Orman, who has been called a "one-woman financial advice powerhouse," took this Valentines Day weekend to champion gay marriage.
Saying marriage is a "privilege," Orman who is gay points out that married couples receive myriad financial benefits, and no one should be barred from taking advantage of that.
It is such a travesty that a few months ago Proposition 8 in California passed, Proposition 2 in Florida passed. What is that about, everybody? We are taking away a birthright, if you ask me, for people to get the most out of the money they have spent their lives working
every single one of us deserves to have the same financial benefits whether we are gay or whether we are straight.
Ormans fantastic show airs on CNBC on Saturday nights and on XM/Sirius radio, and always offers tons of tips for how to save and invest your money. She particularly encourages women to take control of their financial futures, something we definitely supporter.
Heres Ormans Valentines Day video:

... married couples receive myriad financial benefits, and no one should be barred from taking advantage of that. Well then, why not extend those financial benefits to everyone, whether married or not?
Or... just take all of the benefits away -- from everyone.
Why should gays receive special benefits?

Ramsey is a great advisor.
He is a little paranoid about credit cards; I have discipline and never keep a balance. (I also travel internationally a lot, so I like to have a card other than my debit card -— actually two.)

Why privilege a sexual relationship? Why not let any declared couple have financial benefits? Friends, sisters, parent-child? What’s so special about the sexual aspect of a committed relationship?
