"I'll deal with the border guard thing after I find out about the Sandy Berger thing.."

I'm with you hosepipe. $10,000 fine and no time? I'm sure Berger will be put into a great job soon by OBastard.

which ties in with Able Danger, Tony Shaffer getting shafted and the same happening to Curt Weldon. A big cover-up that started during Clinton2 (or maybe Clinton1) and never pursued. Hush, hush. It was a Pentagon screw-up.

True.. The American goverment mirrors the American people..
Americans generally must be becoming more corrupt, themselves...
Corrupting the people is at the base of socialism and communism..
It seems to be working..

Why communism and socialism is NOT ILLEGAL in the United States is beyond me..
They are not benign.. but are a political disease..

A lot of people say that they’ve heard that, and I don’t know if FOX news posted incorrect information or what. But from a legal standpoint their case has been dead in the water for some months now so I’m not sure what they could do to ‘clear their name’ short of producing new evidence. The important thing is that the men are out. It would have been nice if they had been pardoned so they don’t have the restrictions placed on them as convicted felons but Bush didn’t do that. I think he did a disservice to the two by not pardoning them, but anything is better than being locked up. At lease they are back with their families and they can now continue on with their lives.

Rove fought to the end to pardon them but Bush did not. I don’ know if they can take this to the SCOUS or not. They got railroaded.

I don’ know if they can take this to the SCOUS or not.

The Fifth Circuit has denied them a new hearing after denying their appeal of their earlier conviction, so while they could appeal to the Supreme Court the odds are against them. I can't think of what the Constitutional grounds for the appeal would be. Regardless of what we all think should have happened, the fact is that they're out of prision and the commutation is the best they're going to get.
