47% Oppose Fairness Doctrine, But 51% Think Congress Likely To Bring It Back
Rasmussen Reports ^ | February 15, 2009

Just 38% of U.S. voters think that the government should require all radio stations to offer equal amounts of conservative and liberal political commentary.

Forty-seven percent (47%) oppose government-imposed political balance on radio stations, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Fifteen percent (15%) are not sure which course is better.

These findings are a dramatic nine-point drop-off in support for the Fairness Doctrine from a survey last August when 47% said the government should require all radio and television stations to offer balanced political commentary.

Only 26% of voters believe conservatives have an unfair advantage in the media, the argument several senior congressional Democrats use in pushing for the restoration of the Fairness Doctrine. Sixty-four percent (64%) disagree.

Even a majority of Democratic voters (53%) say that conservatives do not have an unfair advantage in the media.

Just 47%? Television should be destroyed. It has ruined the American ability to think.

Once der Fuhrer and his stormtroopers hit the “campaign” trail pimping their “fairness” doctrine, the numbers in favor of will go back up. We’ve got a lot of morons living in this country these days.

Considering his approval ratings, that 47% must include a good number of Obama supporters. I’m sure he’ll step on their toes anway, because he’s nothing but an idiot puppet for congress.

38% are sweet innocent totalitarians .

Fifteen percent (15%) are not sure which course is better.

15% are mind numbed drug addled sheep.

If this keeps up we'll have to strike, "O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave," from the Star Spangled Banner.

We really need to call it the Censorship Doctrine. It is more accurate. And our spin should be as follows:

We need more “fairness” by having “more” Rush on Free TV and Cable. We'll give up 1.5 hours a day of Rush Radio for 1.5 hours of Rush on Free TV and Cable every day (Replace Cooper/King/Mathews/Sheppard Smith/Couric/Williams/Gibson with Rush each and every day!). That's the deal Fascist Democrats. Fascist Democrats, we conservatives can play your games too.

You’re joking - right? The long-standing host Larry King is respected by both sides of the aisle, as well as Billy Graham and the Pope. The Fairness Doctrine would NOT be needed with regards to Larry King. Or - any of the other well respected anchors of ABC, CBS, NB..... - ah, forget it. I can’t keep this crap up just to make a joke.

The liberals have control over the language.

Sure, everyone wants fairness. Ask the same question if
communism guarantees freedom would you approve? At least 60% of those surveyed would agree.

Go figure:
People wonder how the Nazis came to power.

I’m joking if they are joking. Negotiations have to begin somewhere. They want Rush, then it has to cost them. : ) That’s the Chicago Way. Haven’t you learned that yet? ; )

Not too surprising. The same 47% voted against a Marxist in the oval office.

“Just 47%? Television should be destroyed. It has ruined the American ability to think.”

You have to consider that over half of the American public is brain dead. They have no idea what the “Fairness Doctrine” is
but it has the word “fair” in it, so to the idiots, it must be something good.
America is becoming the land of idiots. That’s why I left.
