This is the same marxist who called for nationalizing all oil refineries.

These people are unbelievably dangerous.

Another Dem who should resign in favor of making Congress 50/50 between libs and conservatives.

Hey. He said it was "very important."

The only good news about this is that it is more proof that the libs can’t control themselves when they are in power.

It is like 1993 all over again. Keep it up, and we could see another shift in 2010.

“Hinchey says the idea of fairness is ‘very important.’” I agree...I don’t think it’s fair that Democrat nominees to the Cabinet don’t pay taxes, so I don’t think I am going to pay taxes any more either. Hey! It’s only fair!

Right now, conservatives should be creating thousands of potential lawsuits for every liberal media provider in the country, to demand they hire conservatives in equal numbers to the liberals currently working for them.

This means compiling all sorts of evidence of liberal bias, which conservatives have done for years, to demand “affirmative action” by hiring an equal number of conservatives.

It would also mean creating a “conservative media guild”, so the media corporations couldn’t hire someone like Michael Moore, and just call him a “conservative”.

To be able to throw in objective data like this would put the left wing media in a panic mode.

They want to attack conservative radio, so the counterattack should be against the liberal media.

We the people are being assaulted on every front simultaneously. This is a severe censorship on freedom of speech.

The stations are forced to put on the democrats ... and will lose their audience quickly, as all the liberals spokesmen fail to gain audience. So if they must both be on the same program at the same time ... who can stand to listen to the twisted view points the liberals propagate?

It is BRAINWASHING AND IMPLANTING OR THEIR CREED.

God help us. Else Our nation will become like Russia after the Revolution. Years of devastation and starvation, total tyranny, etc. NO FREEDOMS.

It is coming now.

It should be reinstated.

The Dems should do whatever the hell they want.

It’s not like the American people mind.

The Dems are raping the American people right now. You’d think they were merely raising taxes a bit, or something.

What makes you think they shouldn’t silence their yapping opposition? Because that’s about all today’s American can muster in defense of their freedom—no more than listening to someone complain about how bad it is getting.

American do-nothings get what they deserve.

Welcome to the land of the coward home of the fat and apathetic.

Lots of AM stations are already going broke..this will just put more people out of jobs.
It might revive Sat Radio if they do this.

They will go after the owners. Haul them before committees and intimidate them into changing their format. There won’t need legislation. 570am in Washington just added Ed Shultz (sp?) to it’s noon time slot. I think it has started already.

It should be up to the free market to decide what airs. In TV there’s more than enough tilt to the left so talk radio is
one bit of balance to all that (Rush: “I AM equal time”). If
program directors put on liberal talk by their own choice and it succeeds, then great; more than likely it won’t in many
places though which is why they want it forced on.

(Again, in liberal Boston, Air America couldn’t survive;
for 2 years, libs tried to get it back...in Dec., they had to buy time on a sports station to run 2 shows. These shows
have since disappeared; maybe the money ran out. So what’s
next, the government forcing libtalk shows on stations
that do fairly well with conservative talk? Thus resulting in poor ratings? Let the market decide, not government force.)

Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech or the press...

(Though Congress may not need to act to bring the F.D.
back. If the FCC gets a majority of Dems as commission
members...)

Though along with that, “Obama 1260” disappeared. A way of
pacifying the libs? (No, they won’t be pacified, not till
every conservative host is OFF air. How tolerant.)

>>50/50 between libs and conservatives

In MA, both senators, all 10 Congressmen, the governor,
lt gov, auditor, state treasurer, secretary of state,
attorney general, and most of the state legislature are
all Democrats. Is THAT fair...? (Yet Air America fails here...)

Stop using leftist words. It is THE CENSORSHIP DOCTRINE.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2172649/posts

it is important not to let leftists frame the argument. ask the mod to put “censorship doctrine” in parentheses next to the title.
