Just in, Wilders landed at 15:15 at Heathrow and was arrested.
Britain is lost!
No, they’re going to throw his a&& out of the country. They aren’t lost yet....
At 15:27 Wilders was taken by the customs to be seperated from the other travelers.
Gene or Geert?
They subsidize radical Muslims, and they arrest Wilders. The Britain we once knew is gone.
That site has a piece of an article about Qatada:The UK is paying Osama Bin Laden's ambassador to Europe over £50,000 in annual welfare benefits.
Abu Qatada is wanted on terrorism charges in Algeria, the United States, Belgium, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, and his native Jordan. But, in Great Britain, life is good for the Al-Qaeda leader.
Qatada left Long Lartin prison in Worcestershire after the Appeal Court blocked his deportation to Jordan. He is now living in an £800,000 four-bedroom Edwardian semi in a tree-lined street in West London.
His incapacity allowance will push the familys total annual handouts to more than £50,000.
His wife has been claiming £45,000 a year in child benefit, income support, housing benefit and council tax credit for the past four years.
So, if you're al Qaeda, you get tens of thousands of dollars of welfare a year and get to live in a million dollar house, but if you're Geert Wilders, you get arrested.
Unbelievably sad.
arrested on what charge?
Not the most informative post I’ve ever read...
Who is this person?
My apologies. I confused him with one of those radical Islamic imam supporters. mea clupa.
That’s outrageous! How can this happen? This is absolutely ridiculous!!!.... Um, who is Wilders?
LOL!
Your dhimmitude is appalling. You have been warned.
Looks like there is a ban on him entering the UK:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/feb/12/geert-wilders-fitna
The Home Office says his opinions “threaten community security and therefore public security”.
So much for free speech.
How come this rule doesn’t apply to the Muslims who want to behead everyone who disagrees with them?
He’s much the opposite, he made the film “Fitna” if I understand correctly - since banned in many places - for exposing radical Islam for what it is.
The Brits decided to deny Wilders entry to Britain for the London premier of his "anti-Islamic" movie. According to the article, "the film features verses from the Koran with images of terrorist attacks in New York, London and Madrid and calls on Muslims to remove 'hate-preaching' verses from the text."
The British decision has sparked a diplomatic controversy between Britain and the Dutch.
From Wikipedia:
Fitna is a 2008 short film by Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders. Approximately 17 minutes in length, the film shows a selection of Suras from the Qur’an, interspersed with media clips and newspaper clippings showing or describing acts of violence and/or hatred by Muslims. The film wishes to demonstrate that the Qur’an, and the Islamic culture in general, motivates its followers to hate all who violate the Islamic teachings. Consequently, the film argues, Islam encourages, among others, acts of terrorism, antisemitism, violence against women, and Islamic universalism. A large part of the film deals with the influence of Islam on the Netherlands.
The film’s title, “fitna”, is an Arabic term used to describe “disagreement and division among people” or a “test of faith in times of trial”.[1] Wilders, a prominent critic of Islam, described the film as “a call to shake off the creeping tyranny of Islamization”.[2]
On March 27 2008, Fitna was released to the Internet on the video sharing website Liveleak in Dutch and English versions. The following day, Liveleak removed the film from their servers, citing serious threats to their staff. On March 30, Fitna was restored on Liveleak following a security upgrade, only to be removed again shortly afterwards by Wilders himself because of copyright violations. A second edition was released later.
Thanks for the link.
He’s a member of the Dutch parliament who has been banned from entering Britain because of his anti-Islamic views. Some of the radical muslims in Britain were threatening to amass 10,000 people to prevent his entry, and the pathetic British government sided with them.
UPDATE: Wilders will be deported from the UK
Note tagline
Ironically, the British action to ban him, has probably highlighted Wilders' position far better than it could otherwise have been.
The supposed reason for Wilders' being denied entry was "public safety," which was ultimately a response to outrage from the vocal Imams in Britain.
Sometimes, there's no better way to demonstrate the stupidity of somebody's demands, than to follow them exactly.
And ... knowing that the British have historically been very, very cagey in such matters in the past, perhaps that was precisely their intent.
Unbelievable. Here I am, an honest patriotic upright citizen, native born, never been in prison, pay all my bills on time, work my a$$ off, and I get grudgingly paid half what this scuzz bucket does for doing nothing but trying to bring my nation to its knees. He gets a £250,000 four bedroom detached in leafy suburbia. I get a crumbling two up two down in the town centre, total value £60,000 (if it can be sold).
Maybe I should pack in Christianity, convert to Islam and become a political activist. It seems to pay better all round.
For people wondering who Wilders is, it is the guy who made Fitna, do a FR search on it!
And therefor he was not allowed to enter the UK:

You make a good point, banning him because he might cause civil unrest makes a very good case that Wilders is correct about radical Islam being violent. The trouble with your interpretation is that in terms of cageyness has somewhat dissipated in light of their subsidies of and acquiescence to radical Islam in their culture. So, I really think they’re just being pigheaded about arresting him.
It is? Dang it! I even used a comb this morning.
Muhammed Airport: No one is allowed to board planes WITHOUT a propane cylinder.
I can’t wait to see how the British government tries to justify his deportation now that it’s kicking him, a duly elected member of the Dutch Parliament, out of the country because it caved in to the Islamo-crazies.
“on Tuesday he received a letter from the Home Office refusing him entry because his opinions “threaten community security and therefore public security”.”
Thanks for the link.
Just ridiculous
Thank you for the information.
The Mooselimbs should just bulldoze Parliament and put up a mosque...
Mouthing off about the true rulers of Britain.
Quite likely ... Gordon Brown is utterly out of his depth, and this is in line with his past behavior.
Nevertheless, even if they didn't mean to do it, this little charade has made the point far better than letting Wilders in could ever have done.
Wonder if there'll be interest and penalties, like under the IRS...
I believe it is peace for our time...
Go home and get a nice quiet sleep.
BTW, Hatteras - I was just teasing about the jizya post. **grin**
It's easy to tell you are from Europe because you are completely torn up with envy. What is up with that? It's ok to dislike someone, their job, and their politics, but envy is not ok. No matter how good your job, money, or house, someone somewhere is always going to have something better than you. You can be happy for what you do have or you can spend your time having a pity party.
That’s exactly why he continued with the trip in the first place. Condell should have something good to say about this.
UPDATE: Wilders told AP that he is forced to leave the UK within 1 hour.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
What he should do is immediately get on another flight to the UK.
Keep repeating: arrive, get deported ; arrive, get deported; etc. etc.
Eventually this shameful cowardly act will get the world wide attention it deserves.
So when do they start rounding up the “gays” as “islamophobes?”
Story from BBC NEWS:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/2/hi/uk_news/politics/7885918.stm
Banned Dutch MP held at Heathrow
A Dutch MP who called the Koran a “fascist book” is to be sent back to the Netherlands after attempting to defy a ban on entering the UK.
Freedom Party MP Geert Wilders was invited to show his controversial film - which links the Islamic holy book to terrorism - in the UK’s House of Lords.
But Mr Wilders, who faces trial in his own country for inciting hatred, has been denied entry by the Home Office.
He is currently being questioned by immigration officials at Heathrow.
The Dutch Ambassador was also at Heathrow to make clear his government’s opposition to the ban on Mr Wilders entering the UK.
‘Free speech’
Mr Wilders’ film Fitna caused outrage across the Muslim world when it was posted on the internet last year.
He was invited to the House of Lords by the UK Independence Party’s Lord Pearson.
The peer said it was a “matter of free speech”, telling the BBC: “We are going to show it anyway because we think MPs and peers should see this film.”
He added: “The film isn’t offensive unless you are a violent Islamist. Most of my Muslim friends think it’s a very good film.”
Fitna’s opening scenes show a copy of the Koran followed by footage of the 9/11 attacks in the US and the bombings in Madrid in 2004 and London in 2005.
The Dutch prime minister has said the film serves “no purpose other than to offend”.
Foreign Secretary David Miliband told the BBC’s Hardtalk: “The home secretary made a decision on an individual case as she is required to do.”
He added that the film contained “extreme anti-Muslim hate and we have very clear laws in this country”.
Mr Miliband also said: “We have profound commitment to freedom of speech but there is no freedom to cry ‘fire’ in a crowded theatre and there is no freedom to stir up hate, religious and racial hatred, according to the laws of the land.”
The Home Office said there was a blanket ban on Mr Wilders entering the UK under EU laws enabling member states to exclude someone whose presence could threaten public security.
“The government opposes extremism in all forms,” it said in a statement, adding that it had tightened up rules on excluding those engaging in “unacceptable behaviour” in October.
Since Wilders is now unlawfully in Britain, the first thing he should do is call for the overthrow of the British government, and demand hundreds of thousands of pounds in welfare money.
Yes Britain is lost.
You're the one who comes off looking poorly here, not Vanders9.
Translation into English:
The government opposes truth in all forms, it said in a statement, adding that it had tightened up rules on excluding those engaging in truth-telling in October.
