Bill Press is a smart and thoughtful liberal
Did the Compost reprint this from The Onion?
This whole topic, especially from Bill Press' point of view, defines liberalism. They cannot compete in the free market --- proven by the failure of the vast majority of liberal format talk stations --- so they demand "affirmative action". The truth (which always irritates liberals) is that if their ideas and presentations are so all-fired great, people would listen. What'll happen if they do get subsidized in some way and ratings show that people still don't listen? Will car radios be programmed to play liberal haranguing for so many minutes a day against the driver's will? Or will they be content to speak into the ether knowing there's no one out there paying attention?
The parallels to the bank and auto bailouts is not surprising...rewarding failure by pillaging the wallets of the successful.

(When more than 98% of the Republicans on Capitol Hill vote against a bill, it is not bipartisan.)

Press is after equal outcome, not equal opportunity.

Bill Press drove me to change political parties. Between the commentary of the likes of Bill Press and the reality presented by Rush and others on the conservative side, I realized I was a conservative Republican, not a conservative Dem. There are many in this country who still are Dems, but who truly live and relate to Republican ideals.
I pray for them to see the light... I think the good will win out in the end. Sorry... eternal optimist here!
