Ted Nugent: Why gun sales are surging ( It just wont stop )
WacoTrib ^ | February 8th | Texas Wildman

His choice of Eric Holder to be attorney general bolsters that distrust.

Like Obama, Holder is a gun-control zealot —typical of the loony, anti-freedom wing of the Democratic Party.

Do not believe the president’s thinly veiled statements about supporting an individual’s right to own guns. Rather, review these men’s previous, career-long, freedom-restricting, gun-grabbing statements.

Don’t forget the JFPGO

Just joined their action list, I'll have to check the group out as I've never worked with them... You?

"Gun Rights Groups like GOA,NRA and others are Political Action Committees (PACs) supported BY us."

Uh, that's what I was trying to say. You say we are all on the front lines, but I'm not the one in court against San francisco or Chicago defending the rights of gun owners. I'm not the ones in the halls of Congress holding congressmen's feet to the fire on gun bills. That's my whole point. They are on the front lines.

If you can look around yourself and see patriots willing to die for anything, let alone freedom, you live in a better neighborhood than I do.

I live in very good neighborhood then.

About 3/4 of them have put it on the line, several times, in the last 7+ years. They all wear ACUs, including no small fraction of the women.

Don’t just stand on the sidelines while some one else fights for YOUR rights, join the battle!

In other words, STAND UP AND BE COUNTED OR LINE UP AND BE NUMBERED!!!

Yeah, I know one of those pretty well too... eight years in, with two Iraq deployments and one in Afghanistan. He calls me dad.

Really? When unemployment reaches 25% (it's already at 13.9% [U-6]), and chaos breaks out, will the NRA come and help you keep burglers out of your house?

Defending your home is your responsibility. The NRA helps us to have the tools available that are needed to fulfill that responsibility by defending our Second Amendment right.

I still disagree. Americans are vastly ornery. You find a lot of serfs in the major cities, but out in “flyover” country, it’s a whole different story. And you must remember that when the Revolutionary war started, only about 1/3 of Americans supported it. One of my forebears signed the Declaration of Independence.

Big question is, does anyone know when (if) any more is coming into the country?

I expect that a future executive order or bill will ban the import of foreign military or surplus ammo. Pelosi has said that the Democrats will deal with guns "when the time is right". They will wait for a shooting of some sort, one that involves an SKS or an AK, then the MSM will trumpet the "assault weapons flooding the streets" mantra and that will be that.

Anybody see the irony here???

American Patriots buying Russian (”ex”-commie [loosely]) and chicom ammo to potentially preserve our liberty from American neo-commies???

You can’t make this crap up...just gets crazier by the day. Would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic to begin with.

In a way, I guess it’s like the Jews who finally got it together in the Warsaw Ghetto and started shooting the National Socialists (Nazi) bastards with their own weapons...

Any port in a storm. It’ll do.

...and when there is a shooting with an SKS or an AK, it will probably be sudden jihad syndrome by a sleeper, but none of that will be mentioned. The whole problem will be described as the availability of these guns and ammo. You can’t blame the allahu akbar, but you can ban the “high powered” guns and the ammo “made for killing” etc. I’d bet a paycheck on the certainty that the assault weapon ban will be back within 2 years, and this time there will be no loopholes. That is why black rifles and cases of ammo are flying off the shelves.

Yep, and backorder waiting time for a new M15 is 4-6 months!!

Curiously, there's no waiting time on the AR-15's and M-16's being smuggled into the USA from Iraq. I don't have one, but someone I know does and I'm normally not a scofflaw but I celebrate these patriots who are taking risks to make sure they have arms just in case we see UK or Australia type seizures soon.

That's my whole point. They are on the front lines.

Nothing personal but... The NRA on the front line fighting for us?! I don't think so, I left the NRA years ago because they supported and helped to pass legislation putting Combat Vets returning from the wars that had PTSS on the "list" banning them from owning weapons and not being able to be removed from the "list", the only reason the NRA has been coming around lately is because WE (Second Amendment Activist) forced them to!

THEY are only in the battle as far as WE push them, that's why over the years the NRA and Congress has only been giving a half-a$$ lip service to Second Amendment battles... because members and patriots were not pushing them hard enough, and that is why the GOA has been starting to over take the NRA in battling for our rights.

Parse the meaning of "front lines" as much as you wish, but the Gun Rights Groups are only as powerful and successful as WE want them to be through membership, funds and activism.

One of the ways to change and strengthen the NRA is for many like minded people to rejoin the NRA, as I have, and try to run the Politically Correct pansies out of the organization... then they will actually return to their mission of fighting for the Second Amendment and in the end US!

(END RANT)

Ironic but it kind of brings a smile to my face thinking of the Nazi's getting it from their own weapons

The Soviet Union perfected this technique to a "T".

Make everybody a criminal and then arrest the ones who disagree with you. Then send them to the gulags to die.

“The last time “firearms confiscation” was attempted in the United States, the result was the Revolutionary War.”

As I recall, the State of New York confiscated quite a number of “assault weapons” that had been registered a few years ago.

Michigan police are confiscating guns from people whose “registration” was not renewed.

During hurricane Katrina, quite a few private firearms were confiscated, though this did lead to passage of some laws saying that they could not do that again.

I'd say we have a mixed response. If the confiscations are incremental enough, and against small numbers of people at a time, and ignored by the MSM, they can get away with it.

What I see as the greater danger is the creeping delegitimization of the ownership of weapons. I remember when you could buy an anti-aircraft gun and ammunition through the mail. We had low crime rates. Now you need government permission to buy a single shot .22 rifle (unless it is from a private party, and they are demonizing that!).
