A-roid
What a surprise(not). Any man that would cheat in a marriage would cheat on any and everything else.
Did he get them from Madonna?
who cares?
I’m ready for my close-up-Mr.DeMille!
Why multimillionaire ballplayers feel a need for a union is beyond me. It’s not like they can’t afford attorneys to protect them if they feel that they’ve been wronged.
And since I’m already on a roll, Shouldn’t these union players be paid according to a scale with all players being equal?
“who cares?”
many do, if you don’t, why are you here...
shezzzzzzzzzzzzzz...LOL
COnsidering he was previously as scrawny as a young barry bonds, there is little doubt he was on steroids.
Baseball is a joke.
“Who cares”
I do. Throughout my life, the deaths, the births, the tragedies, there has been one institution that could(almost) always be voice of normalcy, purity and comfort and that was baseball.
Do they really make some one a better player?
Yes, they do.
Do they make him a better player?
Not in the playoffs, they don’t. And lately, they haven’t even helped him lead the Yankees TO the playoffs.
Most of my favorite players aren’t big home run hitters. I prefer consistent hitters who load the bases. However there are a few guys like Magglio Ordonez who always hover right near the top of the league with both HRs and RBIs. Placido Polanco is another consistent top 5 hitter and he very seldom hits a home run.
I’m shocked!!!
Ok..not really. He is a sleaze, and it is no small coincidence that he is a curse to any team he is a member of.
Oh no. What will he do now?
He’s only got 1/4 of a BILLION dollars left.
There is an owners' cartel and a players' cartel. In between, you have the public who finance stadiums and cable/sat tv contracts providing ever increasing revenues in large part due to bundled packages. Big time American sports except for a few (such as tennis and golf) are a shakedown of the public.
There is a somewhat similar situation in entertainment with unions for actors and writers. However, the entertainment companies are not a legalized cartel like sports owners. The entertainment unions try to force uniform contracts on the entertainment companies.
American society has degenerated into a disgusting power play by cartels. The unions on all levels will be ruination of our economy.
The agreement between the commissioner's office and the players association specified that the names of any players testing positive (and there were 104 of them) was to be kept anonymous.
Above and beyond that, the names of these 104 player's is currently under seal by the Feds due to the BALCO investigation.
Selena Roberts and David Epstein need to produce their unnamed sources else they are participating in a cover-up of those who leak confidential information.
I'm with you. Why do we care? If Alex Rodriguez wants to ruin his body so that he can make $millions and thrill millions while he is young then why should we care? I don't.
