...disgraced Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich paid Cassidy and Associates, a major Washington, D.C. lobbying firm, $468,000 in public funds to lobby to restart the project.

Actually, this is one item that is NOT pork!

Democrat Governor Blagojevich was going to pay it back out of the proceeds from the Senate seat lease.

I know this is suppose to be a dropped bill, the FutureGen program, but will be interesting to follow anyway. Lots of money$$$

Illinois is a very interesting State!!

Just by chance I watched the History Channel today. They are starting a series on crime gangs. What kept me watching, speaking of Illinois, the seg. I caught was on Chicago gangs. Such timing, ya.

It covered the 60’s and followed thru to 2006.
The gang was known as Blackstone Rangers (Blackstone Ave - Woodlawn).

To be know later as -

Almighty Black P. Stone Nations (or BPSN).
They were known as the community protectors and their leader was Jeff Fort.

(remember of yesteryear .. Community Organizer,... Community Reinvestment Act,.....& ACORN — which I
understand ACORN has been re-named)

By the early 70’s they were the most powerful and organized street gang in Chicago.

In 1986 Jeff Fort & gang converted to Islam. Jeff Fort is currently in prison under a no human contact order. Fort and other BPSN members were indicted for attempting to purchase high-powered rocket launchers from Libyan Leader Moammar Gadhafi.

The schedule shows this running over the week-end.
