We already have the same problem here. We have a shortage of neurosurgeons and orthopedists willing to take trauma call. Often patients are flighted to a facility out of their area to obtain the treatment they need. This is especially common with children as more and more neuro and ortho specialists don’t have malpractice coverage to treat pediatric cases.
