Doctor Hurt in West Memphis Car Explosion

West Memphis, AR - Police are on the scene of a car explosion in West Memphis, AR.
It happened this morning near Avalon and Cooper. We're told a prominent doctor got into his car when it exploded. He was airlifted to The MED for treatment in extreme critical condition.

I can’t believe West Memphis has not ceased to exist?! That area of the country is the butthole of creation. I was born and raised in Blytheville,AR which is about 60 miles N. of Memphis. That whole region is bleak and disparaging. Imagine a Lovecraft novel come to life only without the beautiful landscape.
