I sincerely doubt it would take the Royal Navy to defeat whatever the Argentines could muster to throw at the Faulklands.
I’m sure the Argentine navy ain’t what it was in ‘83 either—and could easily be dispatched by a couple cruise missiles....
The RN has lost its ability to project power in a meaningful way. Sure, Argentina might also be weaker, but other threats will emerge, and Britain will be forced to kowtow or turn tail.
