The Senate Democrats are desperately defending Tom Daschle, the presidential nominee to be Secretary of Health and Human Services, even though he is an admitted tax cheat who defrauded the U.S. government out of tens of thousands of dollars. This comes just months after Daschle’s former Senate colleague, then-Senator, and now Vice President Joe Biden, on the stump as Barack Hussein Obama Jr.’s running mate declared that “paying taxes is patriotic.”
Democrats during the past election campaign attacked Joe the Plumber over alleged tax liens, and David Corn, the leftist journalist, was said to justify this, in various reports, because Joe was “not a good man. He doesn’t pay his taxes.”
Sarah Palin is attacked by the press — and Democrats — over clothing bought for her vice presidential campaign.
But, unlike Democratic nominees for high office, the discredited Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and now Daschle, as well as the former Commerce Department nominee Bill Richardson, who is being investigated by grand jury over financial inproprities, Palin pays her taxes. She is, by their own standard, patriotic, while they, by their own standard, are manifestly unpatriotic.
The Wall Street Journal — and many other top media outlets — have something to say about the leftists’ hypocrisy today.
“So Tom Daschle, the erstwhile prairie populist and scourge of multiple Presidential nominees, failed to disclose and pay taxes on hundreds of thousands of dollars of income. He also waited months to pay up and told the Obama transition team about his tax oversights only days before his Senate confirmation hearing to become Secretary of Health and Human Services.”

That's because Democrats kill them before they are born.
This is going to lead to either anarchy or tyranny. If only 20% of taxpayers fail to file, the IRS would never have enough resources to track them all down.
I heard Sen. Landrieu of LA on CNBC a bit ago and she said taxes should not be lowered in the stimulus bill because “People are sick and tired of those (businesses) who don’t pay their fair share of taxes.”
I assume that means she won’t be supporting Daschle either.
And don’t forget Nazi Pelosi, who has made a tidy profit on her timing of the sales of certain stocks.
Does anyone doubt that the Communists Party (RATS) have taken over and now have total control of Government. America is now ruled by criminal thugs.
