My Congressman, Rep. Don Manzullo, takes Interim Assistant Treasury Secretary Neel Kashkari to the woodshed after this mealy-mouthed bureaucrat can't seem to explain why a failed company that was bailed out with taxpayer dollars -- AIG -- was allowed to give a $3 million bonus to an executive.
God knows I’m no fan of 0bama, but I am glad he made the remark today about how outrageous it was that these bankers got all of those huge bonuses.
And as much as I loved President Bush, I know we’d never heard that sentiment from him.
Better don your flame suit. The pro-bailout/”socialism for Wall St.” crowd on FR isn’t going to like this thread one bit.

There are a few of the Gold Calf Worshipers here, that will draw and quarter you if you say one thing bad about their god.
But I agree with you, that AIG crowd is the scum of the earth.
Democrats can’t seem to muster up any real answers now that they are in charge.
You shouldn't be. This feeds the class warfare BS that this guy is floated upon. I'm not saying that you should be happy about the bonuses. However, this is a distraction from the real issue. Obo is stealing hundreds of billions from hard working American's.
And they didn't answer any questions (or the press didn't ask them) prior to the election....so nothing's changed.
We don't know nothing - and they like it that way.
With this manufactured crisis, Paulson and Bernanke doled out money to help their Wall St.friends. Why wouldn’t those companies pass that money along to their top execs? That’s what the money was intended for and there’s no oversight. That’s how the package was written. For 0 to complain now, I think its just a show, as this new stimulus package does the exact same thing - rewards his friends.
Good on Manzullo. We need more people asking his type of questions.
