In 2002 I was a..I want to say the St. Patrick’s day.. parade, it was before the primary Republican Senate hopeful John Cox (whom I voted for) who was the conservative in the 2000 10th district primary didn’t look too happy to be there.
This guy was passing out Blago SPONGES. I still had one for years sitting unused near the sink, they smelled bad as I recall. My little brother tore one up and the guy lectured hi mabout littering and said in few years he’d be glad to have Blagojevich. (my brother also stuck his foot out in hopes of tripping Blago).
Liberals were still living in a fantasy land about him in 2006 (except DU was fine with Topinka)

Carrel can play a douche but could he pull off the malevolence?
I guess it depends if you want a comedy or something serious. “Dramedy” would probably work best.
Josh Brolin likes to play pols. I didn’t see Milk or “W” but I was play a Senator in some silly short-lived show. He was the son of a former Cali Rat Governor appointed by the current one to fill a vacancy in a tie Senate (with a rat President). He declared he was not a democrat but an indie and only kept the rats in power after blackmailing his way onto both the fiance and appropriations committees. From that performance I think he could do Blago.
Or maybe a classically trained British actor faking an American accent could do it. (A lot of people are suggesting short actors...he’s not short)
Patty should be played by Marcia Gay Harden.
Axelrod does look like Franz but Drunk Jerk NYPD Blue Season 1 Sipowicz=MAYOR DALEY, he’s got the accent, he must play ‘da’ mayor.
Bob Dishy? Oh a total “that guy” good pick for Quinn.
Michael Moriarty for Mike Madigan.
Rose Byrne/Robin Tunney or Ally Walker for Lisa Madigan. All can do vacant eyes.
Urkel does=Baby Stroger but he deserves a bigger role, that of Jaggof Jr.
Judy Topinka should be the played by the Cartoon Parrot from Aladdin or the Afflack Duck.
I agree Obama definitely should never appear on screen, like Charlie of Charlie’s Angels.
We need to find a role for Jeri Ryan, it’s only fitting.
Drama would be boring. Democrats need total lampooning. “Oh ! Roddy !” should be along the lines of Mel Brooks’ “The Producers.” The whole cast should be in drag. Roddy takes off his toupe when the cameras are off him, and it doubles as a piggy bank. Janet Jackson as Je$$e Jack$on, Jr. does a strip-tease to “Nasty” on Roddy’s desk and has a wardrobe malfunction (with the starburst titty ejecting rolled-up $100 bills) and presses it up against him going, “Oh ! Roddy !” (see “Midnight Express”).
...another musical number with Triumph, the Comic Insult Dog as Mayor Richie Daley singing “My Kind Of Town” to his dead father’s ghost, Richard J. Daley (played by Rosie O’Donnell).
And a nice scene with Al Sharpton as Roland Burris (complete with high-heels, purple suit, and feathered fedora with bitches on his arms) coming into the Senate and being stopped at the door by Dave Chappelle (in whiteface) in a Klansman outfit as Sen. Harry Reid while they lock arm and arm and all the Senators belt out “White Boys/Black Boys” from “Hair !” hoofing it up on down the aisles...
It’ll be glorious.
